What perfume are we wearing in our 40s?

Hello

I am loyal to Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin for summer.

For winter, I've used Coco Chanel but wonder if it's a bit too heavy/80s.

I've also used Coco Mademoiselle and Miss Dior and like them but wonder if they're a bit young for me now.

I HATE AND LOATHE CHANEL NO5!

I would like something clean and sophisticated rather than too young/old or sexy.

Any thoughts welcome! Thanks.

I like the same perfumes as you. I was gifted Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet and love it. I haven’t tried Halfeti yet. They usually do sample sets .

Wear what you love and never mind age. My Aunt wore Miss Dior all her life, it was her signature scent.

Avocodo - I also wear White Tea, sometimes Green Tea by EA.

My favourite is Angel. I have loved it for years. Luckily I got a big bottle in a sale.

I’m 40 and am currently obsessed with Marc Jacobs Daisy.

Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle consistently gets me compliments.

A summer favourite of mine is Jo Loves Mango Thai Lime.

I alternate daily between Maison Margiela Bubble Bath and Penhaligons Empressa!

J'adore Dior infinissime for winter, this year Gucci flora (the pink one) for summer, I also love Jo Malone peony and blush suede that's my go to day to day, and l'artisan parfumeur Memoire des Roses, I do like a floral and not really into citrus.

Currently coveting Jo Malone velvet rose and oud and Tom Ford Santal blush but I've got to stop spending money on perfume....

I love Bronze Goddess range by Estee Lauder. Also have the Blanc Soliel by Tom Ford. So summery.

I have a large collection but I find myself wearing Diptyque on rotation at the moment - most recently Fleur de Peau, but also Philosykos, Tam Dao, and Orphéon for evening. FdP or Glossier You for work. However I love Chanel No 5 (or at least the extrait de parfum - the eau de toilette is thin and awful) so may taste may not suit you.

It's funny how our tastes change as we get older. And maybe what suits the chemistry of our skin. And how we just get bored of stuff or associate it with a particular time of our life (for good or bad!)
