Have HD brows made you more attractive?

I have never had my brows done. I am 41, and I would love to have a more defined face. Can anyone recommend a natural yet defined look? Or eyebrow treatment?

sadly hd brows don't help with attractiveness, if anything they are distracting and ruin the natural balance and symmetry of facial features.

PatioDwellers · 21/08/2026 06:49

I think if you have very dark hair, wear lots of makeup and want that look it’s great. But I see a few women whose eyebrows don’t match their look….if you see what I mean.

Thank you. I wear minimal makeup...tinted moisturizer, blush, a bit of eyeliner. I feel a bit plain. Wondering what others do.

Does the tint last if you're washing your face every night?
My eyebrows are not shaped but I do try to fill them in.in the morning if I have a few mins.

My tinted eyebrows last 2 weeks and are a bit there for 3. And I wash my face. But I’m very fair. You can do it yourself but I’ve never bothered to try it ….

dottondool · 21/08/2026 09:16

@BoundaryGirl3939I don’t scrub my eyebrows but I get them done monthly, 3 wks probably ideal but I struggle time wise.

LordEmsworth · 21/08/2026 09:23

I have been having HD Brows for over a decade. It is basically a tint and shape. I wouldn't say they make me more attractive but I think that's quite a lot to ask of a brow tint and shape 😂. They look defined but not unnatural, they are much more natural than some of the brow shaping where the "tails" are very thin.

No one has ever, as far as I know, been distracted by my ruined face 😂😂😂Maybe they've just been too polite to tell me...

I find them too harsh and false-looking on a lot of women. I recommend getting your brows waxed or threaded to a shape that suits your face, then use a tinted brow mascara to define them if they are pale, or a colourless gel one to keep them in place if needed, if they are dark. Pale brows need a much lighter tint than you think - enough to show shape but not so dark that they clash with your natural skin and hair tone.

MyKindHiker · 21/08/2026 10:48

Why don't you take a selfie and put it through chat gpt and get it to amend with brows done. Then you can decide if they make you look better or not. I'm very fair and I had mine micro bladed. I think they look great - before they were very thin and patchy which aged me (IMO)

DidYeAye16 · 21/08/2026 10:49

No I hated them

GreenLemonade · 21/08/2026 13:28

It’s very easy to tint brows at home. You could try it and if you don't like it it will wear off in about a month

RingofBrodgar · 21/08/2026 19:23

They were terrible for me. Two big dark slugs. I spent ages that night scrubbing at them with clarifying shampoo. Family laughed and rightly so.

rereturner · 21/08/2026 19:26

I’d look at hairstroke semi permanent make up over HD brows. They fill in gaps and create shape but if you go somewhere good is nearly undetectable. Then you can fill them in with a pencil for more dramatic night time look.

rereturner · 21/08/2026 19:27

If you’re anywhere near West Yorkshire I could recommend someone

MyManinCaracas · 21/08/2026 19:27

I have powder brows and I love them. They are defined but not harsh. I had sparse uncooperative eyebrows in my early 50s and they’ve been great.

MyManinCaracas · 21/08/2026 19:28

I can recommend someone in Oxfordshire. She has a light touch and only does natural looking brows.

Going to post anyway as I think this is true artistry

(Sorry I quoted wrong post but this is the West Yorkshire rec)

Completely agree! Your eyes are your most important feature, followed by your lips. Making a massive feature of your eyebrows misses the point. It's the same with over-bleached teeth, as it looks unnatural for your teeth to outshine your eyes.

foodlovefood · 21/08/2026 20:22

Get them shaped and tinted. I get mine done every month. Alongside tinted eyelashes. Just makes me look groomed.

Aworldofmyown · 21/08/2026 20:28

Ive been having HD brows for about 15 years. A good beautician using this method will map your face for your eyebrows, tint surrounding hairs to help with fullness. Its not just dark eyebrows as some believe. I have strawberry blonde hair and would look bizarre like that! You need to find a good therapist, look for pictures of their work and recommendations.

LordEmsworth · 21/08/2026 21:43

Honestly, a lot of people make a lot of assumptions that "HD Brows" are always thick, dark, solid and heavy; you can get that look but it's not obligatory. It's a tint and shape. Just get a tint and shape. If you hate it, it will grow out! When you have grey eyebrow hairs that grow 3 inches overnight, you get to love a good tint and live by the trimming scissors...

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 22/08/2026 05:09

@BoundaryGirl3939HD brows are great. I’ve found that actually the tint isn’t as harsh as a ‘normal’ brow tint that seems to also dye the underlying skin for me not just the hair. You don’t need to have dark hair, the point of HD is that they match to you and as mentioned in my experience a lot more successfully than a normal brow tint

I started having a lash lift with it and they’re great also

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 22/08/2026 08:07

I got semi permanent after losing mine to chemo 8 years ago and have been really pleased with the results. I’m blonde and most people don’t realise my brows aren’t real! I’m also in West Yorkshire!
