Easy products for blending grey roots between permanent dye sessions

Is there a product for easy grey blending/ disguising? Ideally like a shampoo or conditioner, something you can easily throw on, doesnt take long and the greys are no longer so obvious?

I have naturally very dark hair but been dying it a dark red for years but now have probably 50% greys and only in early 30s as a new mum. Don't have the time to be maintaining like I used to. I have heard about John Freida but think this is discontinued.. is there anything similar? I just dont want the greys to look white until the next permanent dye session. Any suggestions that actually work? thanks! (Happy for the grey roots to be dyed dark red / dark brown / black etc)

Have you not thought about embracing the grey ?! Let it come through and save yourself a fortune.

@Neveranynamesleft Thanks for the suggestion- yes of course thats occurred to me but definitely not interested in embracing the greys just yet hence looking for products that can blend it between full colouring sessions.

@BIWI thank you - do those wash out? I understood it to be like hair makeup/ mascara?

I was hoping for a product that would gradually build colour each time its washed so the greys arent so obviously white but blended into the naturally dark hair

Yes it washes out, but last well between washes/applications.

Wella do a colour fresh mask. It comes in a tube and stains your hair a little bit. It’s a conditioner so you use it after shampooing and leave it on for a while before rinsing . I just rub into my parting area rather than use it all over. It’s not like hair dye but it does tone down the grey and help it blend in more. I got mine from Amazon. It was about £11 and they do lots of colours including red and dark brown.

Another vote for the L’Oréal spray. Yes it washes out. Nothing will cover grey without washing out apart from a permanent colour.

I think Colour Wow powder is excellent, you just dab it on the roots and they’re covered, I’ve recommended it to so many people. It’s more precise than the sprays.

I save some of the unused / unmixed colouring products then, when my roots are showing through, I mix them in a bowl and use a brush to put it on. A lot less messy than dyeing my whole head which doesn’t need it

I tend to use two boxes of hair colourant so can easily save some of the product (not mixed)
