Natural deodorant

Whats everyone’s experience using wild or fussy natural deodorant?
Is the outlay/cost worth it in comparison to regular deodorant? I usually use mitchem. I like a cream stick deodorant rather than a “wet roller” type. I sweat a lot! Would wild or fussy cut it? Any recommendations?

Can't you use one of their different fragrances?

I don’t think this is true. The cancer thing was debunked a long time ago. I use Fussy because it’s refillable, not because I’m scared of ‘chemicals’. I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I find the best thing to do with Wild when it won't wind up anymore is to take the middle section out and apply it directly from there. I do scrape the very last bits out with my nails and apply with my fingers but I don't mind that.

I have used Wild for a few years now and really like it. I'm not an overly sweaty person though. Like another poster, I find if I use anti perspirant now I absolutely honk! The worst I get after a day with Wild is a slight sweaty smell which is not really unpleasant but with anti perspirant, I get a really rank, unpleasant smell at the end of the day.

Same, not in the least bit worried about aluminium, just want to avoid packaging waste and Fussy seems to work better for me than anti-perspirants.

It annoys me I can’t shake the aluminium fear. I just always think, these massive companies don’t care about our actual wellbeing, they have the money to pay off lawsuits and silence people. Like with the whole Johnson’s Baby Powder scandal. When you realise so much other stuff has talc in! I didn’t realise Wild had been bought out. The main ingredient still seems to be tapioca starch. And it works to stop me being smelly so l guess I just have to suck it up! I just worry about everything 😩

I’ve tried a lot of different natural deodorants and got on really well with wild and fussy. I think it takes a while to find a frangrance you like and that works well with your perfume, the coconut fussy one mixed with my perfume smelt horrid. Other pit rock or natural rolls ons didn’t work as well as the creamy wild and fussy ones for me.

Plenty of us care about reducing plastic and plastic waste. The wild and fussy ones do this, I’d choose them regardless of ingredients.

Wild user here and have done for several years. Buy it when on special offer and stock up as not the cheapest.

I stopped using antiperspirants nearly 20 years ago (in 2008) and never looked back. I’m not scared of aluminum salts. At some point it had become an arms race for me - I had to buy stronger and stronger products, the ones that were applied at night and still I would sweat more and more.

There’s a short adjustment period but I am actually less sweaty now. I use a combination of aluminum-free deodorants and a spray that contains alcohol, it can be literally anything, sometimes it’s DHs Axe. Not a big fan of Wild, it leaves white marks and it’s quite expensive.

Nuud is good. I find it better than Wild and no marks on clothing

It's not only natural deodorants that have this, Dove make a refillable antiperspirant.

I use Vico strawberry and it is pretty good.

I use Make Waves antiperspirant (not the deodorant). I’ve found it’s really effective as long as - I don’t use too much (2 swipes (3 max) per underarm is plenty) AND I wash it off using an oil based cleanser (bioderma body wash) and then soap or shower gel.

Otherwise, it didn’t feel like it was ever properly washed off, and the build up seemed to stop it working effectively. Likewise using too much seemed to make it less effective.
I am sweaty (perimeno & hyperhydrosis - delightful combo) but this has worked better than I’d anticipated.
