Whats everyone’s experience using wild or fussy natural deodorant?
Is the outlay/cost worth it in comparison to regular deodorant? I usually use mitchem. I like a cream stick deodorant rather than a “wet roller” type. I sweat a lot! Would wild or fussy cut it? Any recommendations?

I’m a massive Fussy convert. It does allow you to sweat, so no good if your objective is dry pits. But it smells great. I’m currently wearing Night Tales but have a drawer full of them and wear a different one every day as I like the variety. The unpleasant smell from sweat is the bacteria, not the sweat itself, and in my experience Fussy does a great job of preventing that.

I've been using Make Waves for a few months now, I was sceptical when I ordered it but have been pleasantly surprised at how well it works and am now a convert.

They don't work for me. An antiperspirant is required in order to prevent sweating.

The only reason natural deodorants are becoming a thing is because of completely baseless claims that aluminium in antiperspirants can cause cancer. There is no clinical evidence of this at all, but people believe what they hear.

Why didn't you want your daughters to use aluminium deodorants?

I like the Salt of the Earth deodorant spray too. If I need an anti-perspirant I use Sanex.

I’ve used Wild for years. I am a sweaty person but I have just accepted that really and if I have an occasion where I don’t want to sweat I put on an antiperspirant but the rest of the time I kind of like the natural sweating. It’s what we’re supposed to do 🤷‍♀️ And Wild genuinely does stop me smelling. I went back to Dove antiperspirant (which I had used for years prior) and found it gave me BO when I went back to it. Wild genuinely stops the smell!

I like Wild but find there is either a lot of waste at the end of each stick or you have to scrape it out with your finger and rub it on which isn’t very pleasant

I used the Salt of the Earth crystal deodorant and it's amazing. I never smell and it's literally just a crystal block of salt that you wet and the apply. No weird marks on clothes or anything either

Fussy. It is cruelty free. Wild bought out by Unilever who still test on animals 😬

A vote for Fussy here - was on an overbooked train in 36 degree heat last week, with broken aircon. My shirt was wringing wet afterwards but my pits smelled of coconut.

I used Fussy over the cooler months but I found it just cut it as an antiperspirant once its started getting hot - I switched to Wild roll on and that is fine.

Previously I only ever used the black lidded sure roll on, as a lot of other things irritated my armpits - no issues with either of the natural ones.

I use dove mens stick deodorant, love it.
Tried fussy, it's fine, but doesn't last very long so I found it expensive, and the shape of the case is weirdly annoying as I can't get it to stand upright unless I place it carefully. Probably not annoying for most people but really does annoy me 😂
DH who wasn't allowed to use deodorant during radiotherapy recently, uses pitrock now and loves it, and it does a great job on him.

I use Wild and it works great for me. I would say I am medium sweaty!

Agree that there's no evidence of cancer being linked with aluminium in antiperspirants. That said, many people - like me - have moved over to brands like Fussy because it's a good way to reduce single use plastics. Whilst some of the big brands are starting to produce refills at last, it's not the norm yet.

I didn’t want my girls to have any products with chemicals also my mum had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer so on research of products I decided I needed more natural ones.

I’ve been using Salt of the Earth for years not and love it. It doesn’t smell of anything so it doesn’t clash with your other scents and it lasts for a year or two so it’s incredibly economical.

Me too, the only that works for me post menopause. Wild and Fussy were rubbish.

Only tried Wild, and it didn't work for me - I went back to my trusty Mitchum after 8 weeks.

Everything is chemicals. Water is chemicals. Air is chemicals. YOU are chemicals.

If you and your DDs like those products then fair enough, but there's nothing unsafe about regular antiperspirants. The breast cancer stuff was nonsense and has been thoroughly debunked.

Fussy didn’t work for me unfortunately, really wanted it to work but it was honestly like putting nothing on!!

And found it really quite good. Im not a sweaty pit person, but it kept me fresh on a 24 hour flight and a month in Australia. Not very expensive either.

I gave Fussy a really good try, but found it no good. I dislike having damp armpits and it didn’t work as a deodorant all day. I’m not especially sweaty or smelly usually.

I use Fussy dubious at first but really like it . Roll ons used to leave my underarms dry and sore . Fussy doesn’t and lasts all day no smell. The £5 refill lasts me about 5 weeks applied twice a day. So no more expensive than the two roll ons I used to buy every month .
