Natural deodorant

Whats everyone’s experience using wild or fussy natural deodorant?
Is the outlay/cost worth it in comparison to regular deodorant? I usually use mitchem. I like a cream stick deodorant rather than a “wet roller” type. I sweat a lot! Would wild or fussy cut it? Any recommendations?

Menopausal and tried fussy recently and I'm a convert. Really nice smell and works well

I didn’t like Fussy. It made my clothes smell weird, it was hard to get the smell out of them.
I use Act now and I find that much better.

It doesn't work for me. I'm not a very sweaty person and one spray of anti perspirant is enough. I thought I'd try Wild after hearing good things about it. After about an hour I was sticky and could smell body odour on me.

Unfortunately Wild didn't work for me at all, it did nothing and the two smells I tried weren't very nice either. Lots of brands now do aluminium free ones that are still decent

I switched to natural deodorant a few years back and wouldn’t switch back.

I started with Wild as easily available. You need to allow a couple of weeks for your body to adjust to it and you may feel sweatier and pongier for a bit but then it stops. You will sweat (as not an anti perspirant) but won’t smell. Perhaps wait for some cooler temperatures and then start?

I’ve since found AKT deodorant and that is even more effective (but spenny) than the Wild. I tend to use AKT in summer and switch to Wild in cooler months.

Thanks all, I’m now looking at make waves, which is natural but also antiperspirant so that might suit me better

I use fussy but I dont really sweat much. I love it. I tried mitchum once it was the powder scent one and made all my clothes stink of this powder smell .... horrible. I can only use the shower fresh one.
I dont think the natural deodorants would be much good if you sweat a lot.

Fussy works really well for me despite being a sweaty person. Wild didn't work at all.

I would say I AM quite sweaty especially during perimenopause...I was very pleasantly surprised by fussy on the effectiveness.

Salt of the earth

my preference is a stick cream deodorant too, but having tried many natural deodorants I have found salt of the earth spray to be the most effective. It dries really fast so I can put up with spray form! Cheap in tk maxx too.

Wild gave me horrible cystic armpit lumps. Fussy is fab. The tiny tubes of AKT are good for travel but not as effective as the Fussy. Disclaimer: I’m not much of a sweater.

@MabelAndersonIve noticed Fussy now has a added bit saying you may need to wait a couple weeks for your body to get used to it and you might get a funky smell in the meantime.

Absolutely love Fussy been using it for a few years now. It’s the only brand I buy as I didn’t want my teenage daughters to use aluminium deodorants. Good variety of scents and they limited editions too.

I have been using fussy for a couple of years now, and really rate it. Do try and get their seasonal scents to mix things up a bit.

I found they all work for a short period of time, then you start stinking. I've tried Fussy, Wild, the natural deodorant co, and AKT.

I'm 55 and still sweat heavily with no sign of menopause. I use Dove max protection, only thing that works for me and I use soap not shower gel.

Same for me. I find they work for approximately 3 months and then they stop working completely

I used Fussy for a few months but found I was getting smelly by mid afternoon. I kept going as I heard that your body can adjust to it but had to give up when summer came around.

I’ve tried wild and fussy; I prefer fussy as it goes on a bit drier than wild.
You can use fussy in the wild containers and vice versa btw.

Fussy did not work for me at all. I gave my body time to adjust, but it really didn't; I was horrified when I got a whiff of myself on the underground.

So I’ve tried- Make Waves, Wild, AKT and Fussy. Fussy worked brilliantly for a fair few months then stopped working. Wild I love and AKT while pricey is good BUT I hate applying it with my hand, very annoying. Make Waves I keep coming back to as it’s easy to apply, works well and is a balm stick which is convenient.

That was my experience of a natural deodorant too. I’m not particularly sweaty and very rarely smell, but I tried DH’s natural deodorant one time and I smelled awful all day.

I've been using fussy for about a year now and actually seem to sweat less than I did when I sued an anti-perspirant. I did have to try a few to find a scent that worked for me as some are quite strong, but happy with the coconut one. Admittedly in the current heat I have had to reapply it mid-afternoon but think that might be an issue with any deodorant.
