I really like this style but I don’t know what you’d call it or what shops you’d get it from!

I’m in my late 40’s and I’m really ready to change my style. I’ve been people watching a lot this summer and the style I really want to copy is-

-casual but classic
-loose linen trousers
-loose tucked in tops often layered
-stylish trainers
-layered jewellery
-undone hair, bit messy, thrown up in a clip
-natural cotton
-neutral colours
-slouchy handbag
-long boho type dresses

Does anyone know of any particular shops that do this type of style?

I love me some coastal grandma. This is how I aspire to dress! Like a posh lady who lives on Martha’s Vineyard in the summer and my husband is a banker in the city and earns mega bucks while I swan around my beautiful house looking polished and chic. It’s a far cry from my reality but I live in hope!

For the look you are going for I suggest Muji - does great linen trousers and tops in muted colours. Also Uniqlo for lots of linen layering separates.

I too aspire for that look - not sure I pull it off!

Certain ways of dressing are often given a name eg.rocker, preppy, hippie, classic etc.

If you know the name of a particular style you like you can then search the name on google and find inspiration in the form of outfit ideas or certain brands which sell the type of clothing your style relates to. Just makes life easier especially if you’re stuck in a bit of a rut.
