Crocs with socks?

this is a massive fashion failure?

Well it's not a good look. For the full on 17 year old boy look, it should be grubby white socks with sliders.

Are crocs in general a Fashion failure?

I just find it a bit impractical as the socks ride up.

Most people wear with socks. I know i do.

I am unashamedly rocking my croc (sandals) with socks on holiday, in mitigation am camping and my teens are living in socks and crocs. Would I do it at home- nope!

Never in a million years, but I was well into adulthood when crocs arrived at the shores of humanity. I remember the early years, before the rebellion, before teenagers got hold of them.

Crocs are fabulous. I sometimes slip them on to pop out and do something and I don't give a shit if I happen to have socks on at the time. Crocs aren't exactly a fashion statement they're practical. I wouldn't go to the Ritz in them, but popping to Tesco or the chippy I usually see people wearing stuff way worse.

Do you mean I've been wearing Classic Crocs, with socks, in the cold weather months, all the while committing a fashion faux pas ?
I wear Crocs summer or winter, so quiet and comfortable, and in the winter with socks, yes!
Croc sandals and sliders I wear only in the summer and NO socks!
I love Crocs!

This is a favourite of my cousin by marriage. She wear bright yellow crocs usually with mismatched socks. I've never found it an issue she's a midwife and on her feet a good 12 hours a day.

Looks ridiculous, however at least your feet don't sweat

Crocs are horrendous - even before you add socks into the mix!

Yeah I'd say this option is best for a nurse, midwife or restaurant dishwasher. Or maybe a fishmonger.

If you are in a job where your shoes are likely to remain dry all day, then there's really no need for socks in crocs.

Crocs with socks is fine but I never wear crocs in public. Never never never - they are my garden shoes. They sit at the patio door.
Birkenstocks with socks, only in the house with my Birkenstock slippers - two pairs - one for winter with lambs wool footbed and one for the rest of the year with the normal footbed - depends if I have socks on or not when I wear them. Socks don’t work with the flip flop style.

All the young people of my acquaintance wear socks with Crocs/Birks/sliders. Any socks will do, is my observation.

I think so, but they seem to be part of the geek/norm core (🙄) style. 🤷‍♀️

My 18 year old daughter wears Crocs (with socks).
She has 11 billion pairs give or take.
I wear sliders mostly. Usually without socks (my feet get ridiculously hot) but the other day I knew we were going to be walking across a field so I put socks on.

I used to pooh pooh crocs until I bought some for the beach last year. And found them to be stupendously comfortable. Never with socks, though!

This post made me laugh so hard! My 17 year old swears they must be worn with socks and his "white" Nike socks are always filthy after he's worn them with crocs (esp this dusty dry summer).
I think it's one of those age divide things, the youngsters will say Yes to socks and the elders No (generally). Although DS says they get sweaty and uncomfortable without socks so he may have a point.
