Plus size non-wedding wedding dress

Can I pull off a non wedding-y dress for getting married in?

Size 22
5ft 10
Longish brown hair
Massive boobs but also very thick around the waist now
Will need to train myself to walk in anything more than a kitten heel
Flexible budget
Small wedding, registry office then some food and cocktails at home
November wedding, it will be cold
Been married before and don't want anything too bridal.
Not good legs but midi is okay.

I like the thought of a statement dress but not even sure where to start. In my head I have some sort of outfit that you'd wear to the opera, maybe something embroidered or long or metallic, just something different. But I don't know where to even start looking for options and have spent all day yesterday basically on the usual bridal websites not really finding anything

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I ended up with a dress from the bridesmaid range in the end, in a pale pink and more Grecian. Maybe have a look on Dessy and see what styles you think would suit then pick a colour.

The Katya Wildman dresses up thread are lovely!

Mac Duggal have done lovely dresses that are mid-range in your budget. For a November wedding you can go many ways with fabric choice such as velvet or metallic.
This option has a v-neck to open up the neckline and sleeves. Some shaping on the waist.

I love this dress - & think the largest size (18) would be very flexible because of the shape. Out of stock currently, but may be findable elsewhere.

Nice colour, but looks like a tent!

Well yes, but actually looking huge is another matter!

Yes, in my 20s & 30s I was tall & very slim. Now I am ... well-built, as my granny would have said?!!! Can't hide that I'm a few stone heavier, can I - so wearing a dress like that would aim for "statuesque" rather than tent-like in my (hopeful) mind ...?!!

Have ordered one dress from Ever Pretty on Vinted just to get an idea of the shape on me, it was £10. Fluted sleeve maxi.

Not ordered anything else yet. I would love to wear a big dark velvet long cape type thing but don't want to look like a medieval reenactor. Am totally overthinking this and just need to pick a look and decide on something. Or just get something really plain and add a cool veil or something.

Can you post a pic?
