Any ideas to make huge boobs look smaller!

I’ve just bought a lovely dress fora wedding in Italy in September but my huge boobs look terrible.
has anyone tried a minimizer. Bra?

Your breast size is dictated by genetics AND weight. You don’t see many overweight women with a D or below do you? Because gaining fat = larger breasts.

Not all large boobed people are overweight, but 90% of overweight women are large boobed.

I lost 3 stone and all I did was reduce my back size. So yes technically I lost some off my boobs but just made it harder to find bras. Ended up at 5ft 10, size 14 and a 32KK

I see that an ex bra fitter (apologies don’t remember her name) recommended the panache envy bra as one to try.
I wear a 30 GG bra and this is my bra of choice as it gives a nice shape but somehow doesn’t make me look huge even when I’m wearing tightish T-shirts. It is however lacy so it doesn’t give a smooth line.

But, (and I don't see a source for your stats) the OP has said she has big boobs and wanted advice for that and has explained she is small on the bottom with a large chest.

I also have had this problem all my life (and have been fat for parts of it so do understand the point but overall I have been my own natural size), which is a size 10-12 on the bottom and wearing a 34GG bra or 32H depending on style etc.

I have tried minimisers when I was younger and thought they were fantastic but to be honest they just gave me a weird flat sideways look (evidenced by photos) although there may be better things on the market nowadays.

I would agree to go to bravissimo, fantasie, other mentioned specialist providers which I found about 18 years ago and it changed my life. AND it's worth the investment the underwear is expensive but does last it's value for years.

I am no stylist but have also appreciated other contributions here on how to break up the line with accessories etc.

If they are as big as you suggest you will struggle to make them look much smaller. Try painting a face on each boob and most people will think you have come to the wedding with Right Said Fred. I guarantee they won't even notice your dress.

My daughter is 15, 8 stone and 32f. I am 54, 10.5 stone anf 34g. Are we expected to get smaller by dieting?? I run 7kms most days.

When I was in my 20s I was 8 stone and still 32f.

I find minimisers shove them back towards your armpits.

I use M&S these days. The fitters are great in my local store. They do an 'extra support' range which kind of shoves my Gs up and out.

I have a Panache Allure in navy - absolutely not a minimiser but it gives a beautiful shape, and the design as a whole is attractive. I was lucky to get it half price in a sale at my local department store.

I was a size 10 with 34f boobs for years. Went tipto a 12 with 36g boobs and then menopause got them even more huge

I had the op 4 years ago. Best money ever spent. Summers now comfortable. Clothes easier to wear.

Yes , the Millie bra is my go to for taking my 32jj’s into something that actually look quite neat and give a more slender silhouette

Nonsense - breast size is breast size. If it was purely down to weight then all/most over weight women would have big breasts but plenty are overweight with a small bust.

If anything my breasts seem 'smaller' when I am heavier as they are less of a contrast with the rest of my frame.

Indeed. I'm a 32G and almost all the women on my DFs side of the family are the same - very "booby!". I get very self conscious about them and have had a lot of unwanted attention since my early teens because of it. Though there's a certain joy in being middle aged now, less male attention!

Yes, my mum is tiny - size 2 feet, weighed about 6 stone all her life before she became ill and went to skin and bone, yet she never lost her boobs. She used to wear a 34B but actually I think she was probably something like a 28E if measured by modern methods.

I have a very stocky type of frame, wide size 6 feet, couldn't be more different but I have the same boobs and so does my sister who is somewhere between my mum and me in frame, but with a higher BMI - we all have exactly the same boobs in proportion to our frames and weight.

Of course it’s possible to be small-framed or slim with large breasts. The formation of breast tissue is largely influenced by hormones and genetics. The only reason a person would come back and repeat their irrelevant point about large breasts equating to obesity after the OP has clarified that she is a size 8 is if they are the kind of person who gets a kick out of fatphobia.

Unless the dress is low in the back or needs a speciality bra, I would go for a full supportive cup. I went to my son’s graduation this week and I was out all day. I wanted comfort so bought 2 new bras from Fantasie, because they had good reviews and were not overly expensive. The one I bought was comfortable and I didn’t have the aching boobs thing going on. Personally I don’t think you can hide them, I’m 32E and only 5’-1, but I think a well fitting bra does wonders for your shape and confidence.

I have a large bust 32G iam 5ft 2, 9 stone with a small waist,iam certainly not overweight, even if i do lose weight my bust stays the same,agree it's very difficult finding clothes to fit.

But she’s asking about a specific dress she’s got for a specific event. Losing weight is not a useful suggestion for an event in the near future.
And women with large breasts may well have proportionally large breasts whatever weight they are.
Discussing types of bras and how they can alter your overall silhouette or décolletage as well as proportion tricks like a with the open jacket a pp mentioned is far more helpful than assuming big boobs = should take weight loss injections. This advice helps whatever dress size and whatever bmi OP is now and in the future.

Echoing those that say you might well not be a 36GG @iknowitsthePittsbutiloveit . Measure yourself and use an online calculator to double-check. If you don’t have a measuring tape, use string and then measure the string. Focus on the bra band. If that’s wrong, then you should go and get fitted in a specialist shop to then get the cup right (which often depends on the brand and style). But a 36 band with a size 8 bottom half seems a little big.

Certainly, but as we established some time ago that the OP isn’t overweight this is completely irrelevant. Do you have any practical suggestions for the OP’s specific query? Because if not, I’m sure there are specialist corners of the internet where you could discuss fat women’s breasts to your heart’s content.

You could wear a silky string top under it, in black or a colour that blends in with your dress. Could draw the attention away from your breasts. It's the neckline really that draws the eye, or if it's a guy anyway! Or if you're single, you could just embrace it 😁 before we get too old and our looks fade 🥲
