i had my hair done today. Left is before, right is now . My hair is brown 😭 how do I fix it. My hairdresser wants to do a clarifying shampoo and bleach bath but not until Thursday. I was meant to get colour matched to my new extensions today but didn’t want them this colour

I dont think thats a toner problem tbh have you tried washing with washing up liquid.....will need a good dose of conditioner after but if its toner it will lift it.

Mummabear10032021 · 04/07/2026 10:50

@CombatBarbiewhat could it be so? She did baby lights to freshen up and then we were going a root smudge toner ? I don’t see what else would turn it brown?

Sorry not helpful but it does look really nice. Can you live with it a bit and fix it when you were next due to get your colour done?

Picassosdove · 04/07/2026 12:41

I also think it looks wonderful in the right hand pic.

flippinnorastights · 04/07/2026 12:52

The right hand side looks much nicer it’s really classy and not brassy

Screamingabdabz · 04/07/2026 13:11

Another vote for preferring the new colour. Suits your skin tone better.

hay5689 · 04/07/2026 13:20

Malibu CPR from Amazon will take the toner out.

Cuppachuchu · 04/07/2026 13:37

The "after" pic colour is much nicer, imo.
Give it a day or two.

Idontjetwashthefucker · 04/07/2026 16:56

I know it's not my hair but I also prefer the brown, looks so much nicer, the blonde is a bit 'brassy'

PeriJealousy · 04/07/2026 17:00

The right light looks beautiful and I’d still consider that blonde. If you’re desperate for it to be lighter maybe balayage would work ?

Luvnhugs · 04/07/2026 17:01

I agree with posters who say the second pic is a really lovely colour. I don't like the colour in the first picture.

unsevered67 · 04/07/2026 17:03

My hair sometimes looks like that after toner. It washes out very quickly ( within a week) and goes back to its usual colour. Which for me is a disappointment

WonderingWanda · 04/07/2026 17:03

Wash with the hottest water you can stand and fairy liquid. That will strip colour out of it. My hair always looks darker before I wash it myself at home anyway so at least another wash should help.

NotTheSuggestedUsername · 04/07/2026 17:04

I agree with pps that the picture on the right is really nice!

But if it isn't what you wanted it isn't what you wanted. What did the salon say about it?

Tryagain26 · 04/07/2026 17:06

I think the right hand photo looks a lot nicer! Maybe I'm missing something?

IDontDrinkTea · 04/07/2026 17:06

The hairdresser has done a fantastic job rescuing it from the cheap blonde on the left if you ask me 🫣

IwanttoWFH · 04/07/2026 19:06

I agree it looks lovely now, but if it’s not what you want, that’s no help to you.
Surely they’ve used a darker toner all over it for it to go dark? I had a full head of blonde highlights. My hair was in such bad condition I couldn’t bleach it anymore so I have an all over toner to have it brown now. The toner will fade but it’ll take a long time (I get mine done every 10 weeks and it’s still dark then, just lightened overall). They’ll have to bleach it to get it back to the blonde, which will be really damaging on your hair.

Sandysandyfeet · 04/07/2026 19:08

Second photo looks lovely!

SqueakyFromme · 04/07/2026 19:23

@IDontDrinkTea what a nasty and unnecessary comment

SqueakyFromme · 04/07/2026 19:23

@Mummabear10032021 your new hair colour looks stunning

Firegoddess · 04/07/2026 19:42

But it’s absolutely lovely! So much nicer than the original colour. It’s really beautiful now.

SweepSqueaks · 04/07/2026 19:46

It’s really lovely. Much better than before.

CamillaMcCauley · 04/07/2026 21:48

That’s a hairdresser fix, sorry. You could try two or three rounds of washing up liquid but it will fuck your hair and likely not get you back to where you want to be.

Realistically you’ll have to move your extensions appointment, and if this is going to cost you, the hairdresser should compensate you in cash, product or treatment.

Also, sorry that so many people are ignoring your actual question because they’re too busy telling you how your hair should look.

This is a talk forum not a year six SATS paper. People are encouraged to talk. You don’t have to answer the question for one mark.

Another vote for the bronde!
I would leave it, it will lighten on it's own
