Funnily enough I’ve just been looking at dermaplaning on the internet, having spent 20 minutes tackling a whisker with my Clean & Easy home electrolysis machine.

ETA it was one of several whiskers amongst the fluff. BlushGrin

The facial head on my epilator does the trick

FloodlightsOnTheSquare · 03/07/2026 13:53

Just shave it 🤷‍♀️

Women get all in a lather about this for some reason. Just shave it. It’s fine. Nothing happens. You don’t get stubble or magically grow a beard.

Takes ten seconds in the shower once a week.

Tonissister · 03/07/2026 13:54

I shave it. But not often. Only when I notice it. I quite like having a bit of very soft transparent hair on the face as it makes your skin look soft and even. But if it gets too thick or some of the hairs are dark, I get rid of it.

Edited to add in my experience the shaved hair doesn't grow back thick - you don't get stubble - the hair is too soft and fine for that.

Facial hair removal cream
3 minutes
Gone
But do lock your bathroom door it’s not a good look

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/07/2026 13:59

I pretend it doesn't exist

walkingmyway · 03/07/2026 14:03

I just dermaplane it

canuckup · 03/07/2026 17:14

Just lightly shave it

W0tnow · 03/07/2026 17:19

Dermaplaning and shaving are the same, no? I keep seeing this advertised to me. I get attending to the middle aged dark hairs, but it seems madness to me that now we are being pressured to remove normal peach fuzz? It does grow back as stubble. You might not see it, but you can feel it. I found out when I gave my teenage daughter a kiss.

Facial hair remover cream...I'll try that
Haven't got any random hairs ...yet....just the fine fluff :)
Thanks everyone

You need to buy these. Game changer.

Yeah they’re the same, it just has a new and wanky name 🤣

I have never had stubble grow back, and I am very dark haired! I guess it’s different for everyone.

Skinny razors 😁

labradormam · 04/07/2026 15:03

Nothing.

i use Veet strips on my moustache as it looks dreadful.

And I have to pluck the occasional stray, dark, chin hair.

But the fluff? I just leave it. I didn’t realise it was so undesirable, it doesn’t really bother me Blush

CoolPlayer · 04/07/2026 15:05

Thanks for this thread I’ve just started getting hairs on my chin / face and this has made me feel less alone with it!! xx

Aiming4Optimistic · 04/07/2026 22:09

I epilate - hurts until you get used to it but only had to be done occasionally!

WhosGotTheKeysToMyBimma · 04/07/2026 22:11

Waxing/threading

Get it done with my eyebrows

frecklejuice · 04/07/2026 22:18

I use this and it’s really quick and easy, no stubble either.

Same here. I keep it in my car and use it when stuck in traffic 🤦‍♀️

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 04/07/2026 22:43

I have only fluff so I dermaplane every couple of weeks. I find my make-up goes on better if I’m fluff free. And as others have said it doesn’t make it grow any thicker or longer.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/07/2026 22:47

I have to do mine every single day, I use a dry cheap mens disposable razor which I keep in my make up bag. Every now and then if I miss a couple of days I will pluck them all with tweezers. I can’t leave them long enough to wax, I would have a full beard within a few days

I have a deal with my sister that if I am ever in a coma, or vice versa, she will come in daily and sort my beard out.

managingexpectations · 04/07/2026 22:56

I do shave it off with a wee facial razor thing my skin always look so much better and glowier after I’ve done it and makeup looks flawless.
I don’t think there’s any other way to get rid of it really just watch out for the eyebrows!!

Pistacheeo · 04/07/2026 23:03

I do nothing. I pluck rogue facial hairs but the fuzz stays.

spoooooons · 04/07/2026 23:03

I dermaplane but it does often cause me to break out in spots so don't know what's worse 😩
