Would you accept this order from Vinted if it was sold to you as Very good condition? Vinted seems to think it’s exactly that, very good condition!
any one else unhappy with Vinted support? I

Vinted is a pile of shite and I wish people would stop using it.

clarrylove · 30/06/2026 14:33

Can't really see what we are supposed to be looking at. Black is a hard colour to photograph.

corblimeygvnr · 30/06/2026 14:34

That lace trim looks torn. Would not accept. How much was it ?

I know lots of parents who use it for children's clothing bundles. A huge money saver and keeps clothing in the circle and out of the landfill.

LoafofSellotape · 30/06/2026 14:37

I've stopped using Vinted, the shite people sell is appalling.

Mercury2018 · 30/06/2026 14:43

It’s supposed to be a pair of black trousers it’s all torn and won’t even stay on me!
I’ve used Vinted a lot of children’s clothing but progressively noticed quality of cloths going down and Vinted Support becoming non-existant.

i just deleted all my listing and I’m waiting for the last thing I bought to arrive then I’m deleting my account.

The trousers were around 10 pounds but what’s the point if you it’s in a non-wearable state? I’ve sold things for 10 pounds but they were practically new just didn’t fit me so you can list them as very good

anyway, like you say, Vinted has done down hill, the platform isn’t what it was when it first started. I suspect second hand cloths are now more like 5 hand cloths!

Thsts shocking

bumblebee1000 · 30/06/2026 14:47

I received a ' brand new ' sweatshirt....covered in engine oil...it took ages to get a full refund, seller said i was being fussy over a few black marks !!

Darragon · 30/06/2026 14:47

I’ve had much better luck on ebay, it seems to have improved since a few years ago. And the sizes are usually not messed with! I can’t see the appeal of Vinted.

Congratulations on arguing with a point I never made.

Sassylovesbooks · 30/06/2026 15:15

I don't sell on Vinted. I do buy on Vinted on occasions, and have had a mixed experience. My bug bear is the listings. Poor pictures where people only list one, one line of a description, sometimes no size etc. Bundles can be worse...a picture of folded clothes!!! What's the point of selling, a bundle of clothes, that can't be seen??!!!

I sell anything I have on eBay, it's better for selling in my opinion.

azuresky50 · 30/06/2026 15:36

That is way I've stopped using Vinted. I prefer saving up and buying new good quality clothes instead. It’s just easier when I can try things on and return them if they don’t fit. Feels like better value in the long run. Vinted is going downhill

MegMortimer · 30/06/2026 15:41

I agree that Vinted can be a bit hit-and-miss. But I sell quite a lot of genuinely good quality clothes on there at knock down prices, and I've also bought a lot of good quality things on there, too. There's scammers everywhere and it's often not possible to avoid them, but I do read all reviews and only buy where there's a lot of clear pictures. It's a horrible feeling though when you get a crappy thing sent to you.

Mosaic123 · 30/06/2026 15:43

There was dress I wanted on Vinted. It was £250. That's was a good price. I was going to make an offer. The size quoted didn't make sense though as I have another of the brand.

The seller didn't answer my size question over a period of a few days. So glad I didn't just buy and send the money.

I have bought a few very cheap things on Vinted but wouldn't buy anything over £10 now.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 30/06/2026 15:49

It looks rubbish condition. I’ve always used eBay as I think they’re better at resolving customer complaints.

Edited

As someone pointed out here recently Vinted changed their sizing recently or last year. I was looking for a specific dress there (not cheap) too and had to trawl through them all with a fine toothed comb as there was one there that was a 10 when it should’ve been a 14, my size. For that reason alone I prefer eBay but many sellers use vinted now.

AplineDaisies · 01/07/2026 00:11

I wouldn't accept that op. I'm going through a dispute at the moment over a t shirt which has stains on it and described as being in vg condition. Problem is Vinted is taking a long time to respond to my complaint.

madamovaries · 01/07/2026 00:15

I can’t believe what people will think it is acceptable to sell.

I ordered a bit of duplo for my son last week and it came in a disgusting state, covered in black, sticky dirt

GrimDamnFanjo · 01/07/2026 00:20

I had a moth eaten reiss jumper sent to me last week - brand new with tags according to the seller!

MIL gave us some duplo like this that she apparently found in a charity shop and claimed to have washed, it was grim. We put it in mesh nets and ran it all through the dishwasher on the hot wash with a dishwashing tablet. Might help?

SunnySunnyDayz · 01/07/2026 00:22

I only buy items listed as new these days, have had to complain about several but resolved almost instantly so I assume it's an automated AI decision if it's new and you can photo damage.

Newmeagain · 01/07/2026 00:26

Yes, that’s pretty terrible. There is a huge amount of rubbish listed on Vinted as being in “very good condition”. I got caught out a few times when I first started using it.

i still use Vinted BUT I am incredibly careful and look out for all sorts of “red flags” including sloppy photos, messy backgrounds, weird selections of items being listed, poor descriptions etc.

Christmasbear1 · 01/07/2026 07:41

I always read the reviews before I buy on Vinted.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 01/07/2026 14:54

I’ve had a couple of bad experiences but everything else has been good. I am very, very fussy though so that might help.

minipie · 01/07/2026 16:48

I don’t really understand the pictures. It looks melted but on the inside? Have they tried to iron in hems maybe and melted the fabric? Is it
