I have been trying ver hard to do the whole belt under bust thing, purchased a couple in an attempt to make jeans and t-shirty things look more "cool" but have failed miserably - I look ridiculous.

Leggings

Hats - of any sort

Shorts (city type) - surely they are for 6" 16 year olds with legs like babmbi?

Waistcoasts

Puff ball skirts

Ugg boots

MrsSprat · 23/06/2008 16:12

MrsSprat · 23/06/2008 16:13

oh and 'bolero' jackets (make you look like a twunt)

bozza · 23/06/2008 16:16

Is a side pony tail really tarty? 4yo DD requested one today and I did it. She has gone to a friend's house with it in and also done the school run. Actually she looks slightly ridiculous anyway because she is wearing a pink plastic belt round the outside of her yellow t-shirt and pushing a double 3-wheeler buggy.

cyteen, i'm not against them but i just look horrendous in stripes, and i wanted a tattoo for years and couldn't decide what to have and i ralised i wanted a beige skin coloured tattoo and then it twigged.

are you a pirate btw?

cyteen · 23/06/2008 16:24

LOL! I wish.

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 23/06/2008 17:48

icod - Most certainly not. Heaven forfend! I have never worn placcy shoes - other than flip-flops - and never will. One of my sainted mother's mantras is that one should always wear leather shoes as they allow the feet to breathe. By clothing I meant garments: I am a stranger to leather jackets, trousers, skirts or anything more outre.

Have Gok-type specs. Are they still cool or are they, like, so totally over?

I was worried that was the case. Whither spectacle frames, do you think RubyRioja? Bugs' eyes, like sunglasses? The return of the Buggles-in-the-80s frame?
