I really wanted a boob tube but didn't have any boobs at the time. Was so jealous of the one well developed girl in my class who wore hers everywhere and had loads of boyfriends.

legwarmers
fingerless gloves
earmuffs (???)

Most of them, really. The only styles I have knowingly participated in over the last 15 years or so, apart from my default setting of comfy-scruffy, are indie scruff and cheesy quaver - no fluffy bras, thank fuck, but there was a long period during the 90s in which my going-out wear consisted of bumscraping mini/hotpants, tiny skintight top and knee length boots. And Bjork knots.

I never had one of those big white cotton skirts that apparently could only be worn with a giant belt (last summer?). Never knowingly wore shoulderpads. Never had a shell-suit. I think that's it, though - otherwise have been a total fashion victim.

Twitmonster · 23/06/2008 13:52

I vaguely remember a girl I knew called Belinda [v horsy, she was a walking talking cliche] used to wear knickerbockers.
I never did.
nor...
shellsuits actually in the 80's I only wore what I was given although have recently found a picture of me wearing skinny MARBLE WASH JEANS, a long baggy stripey top and slip on flat shoes [white]

How I laughed.

nailpolish · 23/06/2008 13:58

Eyeliner

Brown (since I became an adult - I was a red-haired child with a mother with no imagination)

Dresses over trousers - wtf??

Skinny jeans

Jeans tucked into boots - calves too big

Leggings - then or now

cosima · 23/06/2008 15:49

never been able to get along with stripes or thongs and certainly not tattoos

expatinscotland · 23/06/2008 15:51

the grunge movement of the early 90s

legwarmers outside ballet or pilates class

cyteen · 23/06/2008 15:53

hehe cosima, stripes and tattoos are two of my favourite things (although am with you on the thong issue).

Tutter · 23/06/2008 15:54
