Thank you @IlovePond and @ScottishMouse the idea of a bunfight has put me right off making a special trip to an exchange event - my elbows just aren't sharp enough for one I fear 😅. Selling my unwanted items to purchase what I want probably makes a lot more sense.

@faustina Yes that’s my review, and yes I sized down x2. It’s a good buy, hope it works for you. Thanks for your FM intel too - they do look quite flat. I’m thinking I might just visit an actual shop and try some, maybe they’ll be back in the Winter. Thanks for replying @mizu 🙂

@Saurus72 - I found the FM trainers tts with room in the toe box. I think they go nicely with jeans/trousers.

I really like them but I can’t wear mine atm as the flatness aggravates my PF, (which is pretty bad atm).

On that note: I have been watching podiatrist videos on YT in desperation as whatever is going on with my feet since last year’s holiday walking bonanza is proving too much for my trusty HOKAS/podiatric inserts combo.

The most highly recommended trainer for over-pronation and PF seems to be ASICS Kayano 31. Of course, these are now discontinued and the later models aren’t as suitable apparently. I have hunted down a pair in bright orange, (genuinely am beyond caring what the tootsies look like if the pain stops), and will report back…

I had a look in toast Edinburgh today. I only had 10 mins but the new stock looks lovely, far more lovely than online suggests. The Cary’s cotton linen grey wide trousers look really nice and some of the light coloured shirts are so much more, especially the page check and another one I’m not sure which one, maybe it was the poplin one or cotton linen one.
I also looked at the reworn rail but nothing again that I’d like to take home.
The shop looked very appealing as always. I thought I was uninterested in the new drop but from what I saw in the shop, I’ve changed my mind.
Oh and I wore my new Japanese denim jacket for the first time. I loved it. The indigo didn’t rub off on anything I was wearing but the strap from my crossover bag rubbed the fabric really badly, losing colour and tearing fabric threads. ☹️ so it appears to be a delicate jacket. Bummer.

@ScallopShellWalk - that's appalling! If you can't wear a bag with a jacket then it's not fit for purpose in my books

@faustina I thought that too. I don’t go out without a bag so not sure how much use this will be to me. It was a bleu de chauffe work bag which is the one toast sold.
I might complain. I felt really sad about it.

Now that I’m about to get back to uk.most of my possible buys are OOS
Not much restocking happening and the recent price drop seems elusive.
I don’t ‘need’ anything really but I’d hoped to try Carys trousers. .
So ordered the crinkle cotton trousers and top in tomato red, Japanese indigo jacket ( ugh @ScallopShellWalk that recent post was a shock , hope it gets sorted) a dress I’d not really noticed but based on a post here…the blue tea towel dress, and that clamp dyed brown orange stripey dress.

Oh, that was me who posted about the tea towel dress. I'll be so interested to hear what you think of it and I really hope you like it, too!

Oh no @ScallopShellWalk that is very disappointing news about the indigo jacket. Do let us know what the response is. I haven’t worn mine yet, and now I’m worrying about doing so. I often wear a cross body bag, and even if I don’t, I definitely will always have a bag on my shoulder.

I know I said am done with the sale but the Kantha jacket is excluded from good intentions as I had it in my basket in the larger size and once it sold out I have been checking consistently for it to come back in stock. Any experiences of sizing? The reviews are quite mixed!

@Cricketduckout which kantha jacket are you thinking of. I have the kantha jacket, I bought my usual size. It is roomy but I think it looks and feels good.

I managed to get a couple of things this morning that I had been hoping would come back into stock and did. The window pane shirt and washed black shorts jumpsuit.

@ScottishMouse I will let you know what they come back with about the jacket. I wanted to let you all know to watch out for damage as I know some on here have bought this jacket too.

@Cricketduckout if you mean the overdyed Kantha I have it - it turned up in Reworn one day and I bought it for a bargainous price . It is S/M which is perfect for my size 10/12 that I wear in Toast. 12 in the real world in the bust. I have worn it so much both on its own and as a layer under coats. I was fortunate that it looks sort of blue black and it goes with lots. It’s much softer than my regular Kantha jacket (which is S).

I had a final buy in sale and bought the dress KimboTanner was wearing on instagram as it looked much nicer on than I imagined. It popped up in a restock the other morning. I also bought the check bandana and the new Cleo in earth. Lucky it’s payday.

I like that new Baya shirt and will buy it at some point. Toast is dreadful- you think no I’m done with you and then a number of things come along at once that you want.

I hope the jacket issue is resolved soon @ScallopShellWalk , that’s awful.

I've sent this back and the amazing pair of striped pj bottoms, long lusted over. What was I thinking when ordering. I looked like a small french merry go round, sheeted and closed for the night.

We appreciate it @ScallopShellWalk. I really love the jacket and it is a good fit for me, which is rare. But I need my jackets to be reasonably hard-working, or at least not to have to think about what I am going to wear both underneath and over them. Wondering if I should return it…will have to check the dates….

@TosstTastic Great description! That’s how I felt when I tried them.

Just outside the 14 day return period (is that 14 days or 14 working days though?), but have managed to create a return label for the jacket annyway. I’m not back from holidays until tomorrow morning, so will ponder it today and decide what to do. Who else bought this apart from @ScallopShellWalk, and what are you thinking about keeping/returning/washing?

@ScottishMouse I know. It’s hard to trust it. It is a very soft material, lovely but this was quite sad for me. I have knits that are able to withstand wear better.
