@ellequick , I have th pantry dress. I tried it on in Kensington when it first came out and ended up going with the pantry blouse (which I haven’t worn much), but I know I would grab the dress when it went into the sale. I have a 12, am a standard 12, it fits like a dream, very forgiving, and I love the ‘dressing gown’ vibe. The tie is long enough to wrap around the waist and tie at the front with plenty left to hang down (unlike the paisley dress). I think it looks very flattering, the waist gives you a bit of curve, I have already worn it on two consecutive weeks to work.
On a similar note, I paid full price for the paisley poplin dress and love it. I wore it in March in Malta and wore it down to Cornwall on the train as the heatwave was kicking in. I think it is a lovely shape, very light and easy to wear.
I ordered the Japanese culottes, they look way better than on the website, more of a cross between a skirt and a Bermuda shorts. I am not keeping them however, they are snug on the waist for my size 12: they do up and are fine but wonder if they would become uncomfortable when sitting down or eating a big meal.
I am also sending back the knitted linen cotton teeshirt dress in navy, on my body it is shapeless and does me no favours. I think you need that fine knit sweater it is styled with round the waist to give it some articulation: not for me.
I am also surprised to be sending back the gingham linen trousers in beetle green: they really appealed to me on the website but in reality they don’t feel very well cut and they have that gaping excess of fabric in the crotch that many Toast trousers seem to have.
