@MoneyMagnet Welcome! I’ve been a Liberty BD member since the beginning. When I first signed up it was a no brainer as all the cost was converted to credit, as @IlovePond says it now equates to £15 per box. The boxes have slowly gotten less generous in my opinion, but I think whether it’s worth it really depends on whether you aren’t too fussy and like trying new products/ don’t mind selling things on. I am fussy and don’t particularly like trying new products but I don’t mind selling things on so I’ve stuck with it even though I’m not entirely sure it’s worth it for me anymore.

LightandBreezy · 04/06/2026 17:51

@MoneyMagnet I was also with the Beauty drop from the start, was mildly peeved when they changed it to £25 with £20 kept as credit, but like BeautyFox, it's still been worth it for me. I left the scheme briefly when I went on a no spend kick, as I wasn't utilising the 10% off edits or the free postage, but over all I think it's good value. I recently bought the Caroline Hirons edit so got £15 off that, which covers 3 months of "payment" for the Beauty Drop boxes. Liberty can sometimes fall behind other retailers like Cult Beauty in terms of frequent discounts, but if you purchase in a savvy way optimising GWP's and member events it's great. Plus they stock some really good niche brands CB don't have, and the customer service is way better. Not perfect, but better - more customer focused.

LightandBreezy · 04/06/2026 17:54

I'm still boycotting Cult Beauty due to their shitty, inconsistent CS - no loss to me whatsoever, although I must make one last buy before November to use up my £25 credit. One more WAYNEG40 please Beauty Gods! 😂

I'm in beauty drop but not for the boxes - the discounts on the liberty kits and free delivery more than make up for the £5 per month charge (subtracting the £20 you 'bank') and I see the drops as a bonus. I do get pretty much all the kits that they release, think I'm addicted.

Looking at the Harrods event, my nearest is Metrocentre, im tempted. More so just for the goody bag, a £100 can be easily spent. Can you just go and shop then get the goody bag and go? Or do i need to stay😂 Id be dragging my partner with me, which i know he wouls be thrilled about😁😂

In the T&Cs it talks about collecting 'stamps' from the brands they are promoting and buying a product from one of those brands but that's not on the email.

I'm going to Metrocentre.

not that I want to encourage spending and I know some regulars here swear off the threads … but the Christmas bargain threads are excellent and the candle warming lamps are a popular item that are often shared when the price goes rock bottom on Amazon or elsewhere https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5472616-christmas-bargain-prequel-thread-1?page=8

I’m normally on the Christmas threads but I wasn’t as committed to them last year, with the kids getting older and me repurposing some of my advent/edit items I felt there was less need and I’d just get caught up in the hype…fully appreciate that I’m doing exactly that on this thread, but that stuff is for me 🤣🤣

OvaHere · 04/06/2026 20:43

Jarrolds are having a members sale. If you're a loyalty member you should have had an email.

There's some decent perfumes with quite a discount.

I did put 2 in a basket but then deleted and walked away. I have no business buying more perfume after the recent birthday splurge.

PDM Oriana 30ml and Creed Carmina 30ml for around £122 each (usually £175) were what tempted me.

Harrods have emailed me members early access to sale, 30% off. Nothing included in the beauty is drawing me in

user593 · 04/06/2026 22:12

I’m surprised they’ve reduced the WA bronzing drops at this time of year, but thankfully I’m safe from the Harrods sale too. I wasn’t safe from Selfridges though. Purchased a necklace I’ve been eyeing which is still ridiculously expensive -30% so hoping I hate it! I think I might have reached my peak with beauty/ skincare, it’s really hard to justify buying any more right now.

IlovePond · 04/06/2026 22:23

I’ve just spent a ridiculous two hours curating a completely non-essential Olive Young basket because they are having a sale.

I was about to check out then saw the appalling reviews on TP🙀

Tbf, the reviews for StyleKorean are also awful, but I foolishly started ordering from them without checking!

Fortunately for me, the poor reviews for SK seem mainly to be about slow shipping, (fair enough), and sometimes shipping costs. I love SK and haven’t experienced any problems- so far 🤞

By contrast, OY’s reviews tend towards the ‘it never arrived’/‘I got landed with extra customs charges’/‘half the order was missing’ variety.

I really don’t need anything so it’s all good, but has anyone on here successfully ordered from OY? I’ve got a feeling someone mentioned them recently.

That was me when I talked myself out of buying stuff I don't need. I've made numerous purchases and never had an issue though.

Thanks @OvaHere - I thought it was you, but wasn’t 100% sure. I must admit, I was taken aback by the sheer volume of negative reviews.

It’s good to hear you have had positive experiences with them.

IDontHateRainbows · 05/06/2026 05:54

Lots of beauty sales on at the moment, not sure if this is normal this time of year or a sign of gloom in the economy.

I thought us lot on this thread were single handedly holding the economy up with our many purchases!

SummerLimes · 05/06/2026 07:11

I wish SNK would hurry up with a double points offer.

Beautyfox · 05/06/2026 07:54

CB have £10 of points with purchase today (gold). They have learnt their lesson and it’s only one per customer.

user593 · 05/06/2026 08:10

They’re not showing up in my basket, not sure whether to check out and risk they’ll turn up.

Mine neither but I can’t see any points. I checked out because I was planning on trying the jvc conditioner and hair gloss which is reduced anyway.

The centella masks are still around! But it's saying will add 2 points, not 200. I may wait until someone else confirms. Or I could try and buy it, but not paying the delivery charge if I won't get the extra points. Does anyone have a free delivery code that works?

Beautyfox · 05/06/2026 08:24

@IDontHateRainbows update on here once they dispatch if it’s updated then.

edited to say I will update on here

I tried vintners daughter serum last night. I wish I hadn't as I love it. My skin was the best its ever been when I woke up. Texture wise. Still redness but thats my skintone 🤣 cleansed with dermalogica sensitive cleanser and not as great now but will how my make up sits. This is usually the time id rush and stock up but at £200 for i think a 30ml size, im holding back. Although I have spent a fortune at liberty recently so will sell stuff on if needed. 🤣

I recall someone saying about the cleanser not long ago but may be the other empties group.

Please let me know of any bargains you may see. 🤩

IDontHateRainbows · 05/06/2026 08:32

My faith in CB is quite low - and it took weeks for them to refund my points when I returned something that was part paid with points. In the end I had to threaten to put in a formal complaint.

MrsBnow12 · 05/06/2026 08:32

Think the points don’t add until 1 July and then have to used by 30 September

That was me. I've been eyeing up the serum too but both are really expensive. Which I suppose wouldn't be too much of an issue if I didn't already have a stash of other serums.

Where did you get the serum? Was it in a gwp or edit? I do vaguely remember a mini somewhere - one of the CB xmas edits maybe? Wish I'd paid more attention now.

CB did an offer last year where the points were added some time later and I had to chase to get them, I think almost everyone did. Not worth the hassle for me this time.

user593 · 05/06/2026 08:44

I’ve placed an order as I need an empty Surratt palette and I’d been eyeing the Saie All Over Powder Brush (the only Saie brush I don’t own). Hopefully the points come through. I still haven’t spent my points from the last time though!
