Does anyone actually use it ? It made my hair worse !

I really like it, I definitely notice a difference.
Today, I finally got around to using the pre-wash treatment which I got from a Boots beauty box about 18 months ago. I used that along with my usual products and my hair definitely feels softer

Thelifeofawife · 17/06/2026 22:35

I’ve just had a Quick Look on the JL sale which has launched this evening. There are some good deals. I’ve not looked at everything but they have:

Stackers toolbox in grey for £40
Lancôme Génifique sets half price.
They also have the Tom Ford highlighter/blush duo which I got from Cheshire Oaks, for £34 (I really like this one)

Plenty of other skincare and make up offers too. I set the search for highest discount first

I started trying to do that but it always clumps up rather than melting into the coffee. Not sure where I'm going wrong. Maybe my coffee machine isn't hot enough?

Yes, it may be that the water isn’t hot enough. I give it a really good stir, but you could also try a small whisk to break it down.

To be honest I really should go back to using it, as I’ve noticed a difference in my joints since I stopped using it (it did nothing for my wrinkles 😅)

JoRaRaRa · 17/06/2026 22:44

I really like the elasticizer too. I'm looking forward to trying the swimcap on holiday 😍

SavageGarden23 · 17/06/2026 22:53

@Thelifeofawife what collagen is it ?

I got an email from You Beauty about a free gift when you purchase a beauty edit, but can't see anything about this online?

Thanks for sharing, it adds to your cart when you add one of the beauty boxes

Doglover73 · 17/06/2026 23:23

I add the collagen powder to Greek yogurt

IlovePond · 17/06/2026 23:37

❤️love the idea of a north/south storage unit @OvaHere (pretty sure I have made a start at my location 🙀)

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 18/06/2026 04:26

And an east & west one too @IlovePond

IlovePond · 18/06/2026 07:12

Absolutely @TracyBeakerSoYeah!

IlovePond · 18/06/2026 07:14

@keepincool - did your StyleKorean parcel arrive? I was wondering about the extra charges or if your parcel was exempt.

Thanks

Thelifeofawife · 18/06/2026 08:15

@SavageGarden23 This is the one I have…Powder, Gold Standard... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Q6YSGF9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Collagen powder

edit to say that if you’re not familiar with collagen, there’s bovine & marine, both with slightly different benefits. I chose this one based on a bit of reading up and recommendations at the time

Beautyfox · 18/06/2026 08:20

Clarins have a summer sale on with some nice bits (early access today for members).

They have the cleansing gift sets reduced to £27 (face wash, toner and small cleansing milk) and a body oil gift set reduced to £32. I absolutely love the body oil but sadly I’ve already got loads in my stash otherwise I would def be buying.

Theres a free gift if you spend over £90 too although it’s not very exciting.

IDontHateRainbows · 18/06/2026 08:26

Selfridges frag box 1 on sale - this was a really good deal at £55 for 6 so I'm surprised it didn't sell out, now on sale for £38

IDontHateRainbows · 18/06/2026 09:09

Holding out for the space nk sale - do they usually do a summer sale? Sales seem to come early this year - there's a john lewis up the road from me and the sale has just started so on your marks - get set - go!

Doglover73 · 18/06/2026 09:19

Boots no 7 box coming soon

My daughter is off to Mexico in a few weeks, I might get this for her.

IDontHateRainbows · 18/06/2026 11:11

John lewis sale v disappointing for beauty although I picked up z couple of laneige lip masks reduced to £6.50.
I did manage to get some shoes for £17 reduced from £65, plus a cardigan top and skirt.

Sales defo not like they used to be 10 years ago or so when everything was reduced...slim pickings.

Edited

I had a quick look last night. There were a few fragrance offers that were tempting but I passed in the end. I find the layout of the JL sale very annoying as they intersperse the reductions with other types of offers.

I don't tend to find summer sales that inspiring, I'd rather hang on for Black Friday/Xmas/January sales.

The only thing about summer sales is it takes until June to have any decent summer weather usually, so i don't feel like I'm missing out clothing wise the same as I do in autumn.

TragicMuse · 18/06/2026 11:52

Honestly, I think I’m broken! All I want is to get through my stash! I am so not drawn by edits and boxes at the moment…

Edit fatigue appears to be a thing!

SheilaFentiman · 18/06/2026 12:12

I wish JL wouldn’t intersperse online and store stock!

OvaHere · 18/06/2026 13:14

I'm also sick of sunscreen offers and piles of it being in edits.

Against my better judgement I did cave to the CB double points last night and bought the First Class edit plus a couple of new Morphe releases.

I have a touch of buyers remorse this morning as I'm only really interested in the bag and giving the Medik8 a whirl. Oh well...
