I am 2 inches shorter than the model, have to wear flat shoes.
Size 8. I want too wear it as much as possible :) I bought it as it is beautiful and cannot find ways to wear it. Thanks for any help!
It looks white on my screen but it is very pale pink.

How about a waist length cross over top that ties at the back, (similar to the ones ballerinas wear). The top needs to be simple and close fitting due to the volume of the skirt.

I am 51 and think it would be too young on me, but lovely for someone in 20s!! thank you

Yep nothing too pretty because it already has that. I’d look at contrasting the prettiness and volume. I’d try cropped t shirts - maybe slightly wide, maybe fitted and something with a bit of contrast so a graphic print or a stripe. A grey marle or charcoal grey possibly. For shoes I’d avoid anything too dainty so no ballet flats. Trainers or an ugly sandal and a tote bag.

grey is a great call - I have a lovely fine knit pale grey short sleeve that is waist length and perfect

If you can’t style it surely you’re best off sending it back? What a waste of money

That’s why she’s asking here. Do you understand the purpose of an internet forum? Exchange of ideas and all that …

this is lovely but my skin tone looks grey if I have pink or red near my face 😂if it was cream or white....

there will be shades of pink and red that suit you if you can wear cream and white.

how about a really deep blue or pale lilac boxy cropped top or a short deep blue denim waistcoat?

I think there’s a difference between “I have some ideas” or “how would you style this” and “I’ve spent a ton of money on this ugly skirt that I now can’t wear”.

The skirt is horrendous btw

would be fine on you! you can always go severe on the shoes or have a hard chunky accessory

You could also exaggerate the prettiness in a Nightmare Ballerina way. Would be fun.

I'll add 'nightmare ballerina' to 'man repellent', 'vengeful Scandinavian bride' and 'spacious' in the 'descriptions of my attire in 2026' file😂

So I think you can wear it casual and dressed up.

Casual - with a vest (I’m talking spaghetti strap vest) tucked in with baggy shirt. With white trainers / sandals or ballerina shoes.

Dressed up - with a long sleeve, fitted top with some chunky / evening type accessories and some wedge sandals.

I don’t follow trends so I couldn’t tell you what’s in - I just wear clothes the way I think I look good in them.

I wear skirts like that with a fitted square neck vest (maybe black, or white), I think a voluminous skirt like that pairs beautifully with a fitted top that is not too long (but ideally just about where the skirt starts

i have a skirt a bit like it, and I wear it with puma speed cats and a fitted vest or t shirt, I think it looks cute

don’t listen to the nay sayers, it gives you joy, wear it, enjoy

OtterandaRock · Yesterday 23:03

if you have not found the shades of pink and red that suit you yet, how about some combo of chestnut, dove grey, amethyst, russet, air force blue, dusty pink, butter yellow in an impressionist floral or melted geometric pattern?
ETA for a nipped-in, cropped, sharply cut jacket-style top

HollywentLightly · Yesterday 23:21

I'd go for denim, a cropped shirt or a waistcoat that sits over your hips.

You've got a brass neck.

Anyway, OP, I agree with a green top, or even a burgundy one. I like this from Damson Madder

I tell you who does skirts that shape… Kemi Telford. Have a look how she styles them ( obviously hers are print but the shapes are interesting )

You sound like such a lovely person.

Goodness @frumpydump.. how is your style? No wonder people hesitate to ask for advice on here sometimes with responses like yours.

SallyDraperGetInHere · Yesterday 23:45

Love the skirt, love the style 💔

Given the flared shape and your slender frame, I’d go for something that emphasises your shoulders and collarbones - wrap top in black or grey, slim fitting wool sweater, cropped boxy tee.

Delightful.

It’s a shame the OP didn’t realise there was a required minimum standard of ‘ideas’ before using the S&B board.

Meanwhile she seems to have got lots of good advice from almost everyone else.

A pale yellow cotton cropped cardigan?

Nonnim · Yesterday 23:57

Ok it’s posted the picture of the one that isn’t yellow, for some reason, but there is a yellow version!@
