Help! My DB is getting married on the beach in Mexico this summer. Desperately seeking a dress as a guest. Am 55 yrs old, size 10 but a bit of a menopausal tummy. 5’5”. Blond hair. DSIL and her friends are dressy ladies so feeling I need to up my game! Don’t want to look dumpy. And also nothing sweaty!!!

I’ve a wedding this summer in Mexico as well, also my brother - can’t wait.
Bride had informed us dress code is more casual than Irish wedding attire, where we are.

I recommended Farm Rio as the
materials are cotton / linen mixes so perfect for a hot sweaty day, avoid polyester it will be horrible on a warm day.

Am thinking midi/maxi, a bit flowy. Not polyester or other type of sweat inducing material! Am going to be wearing it potentially most of the day so also needs to be comfortable. Am blond/blue eyes and fairly pale. Colours i like are blue, pink, green. Norks aren’t too big but will need support so must be able to wear a bra or have a bra thing included in the design. SIL to be and her family/friends are gorgeous and their culture is one of dressing up for things, so don’t want to look frumpy. Also not like mutton! 🤯

It doesn’t really wow me either, sorry.

The lining is polyester mix though - it will be a bit sweaty I think!
Actually I would avoid anything lined - it’s an extra unnecessary layer!

Edit: the actual dress is polyester mix - the lining is cotton. Still think it’s too many layers though !
