Unsure on Invisalign results

I recently got Invisalign and am now paying off the 5k debt! I am really happy with my teeth. I hated them before I and I do feel more confident.

However, they were done pretty quickly as my dentist told me to start changing them every week and I had no refinements at the end. although I am happy as they are so much better then before, I just don’t know if they were completely finished or could have done with some more time.

ive had wires put on top and bottom so I can’t go back to my trays. I am in the process of whitening which will make them look better and I am considering composite but I can’t justify more money on them right now.

they do feel inline, maybe a couple teeth are millimetres out, but they just look a bit messy still? Or am I being anal!? It’s just a lot of money when they aren’t perfect.

The front teeth are at a slant if that's what you're asking? They are beautiful, though!

I think (acc to the subreddit) people get a bit weird about them when they're fine.

Night and day, but I do agree the front teeth need more time, they are at a slant as other poster mentions. If you have come this far, it would be a shame not to take a little bit longer to align them better. You have lovely shape and sized teeth, I would keep going for another few months.

I am currently on weekly Invisalign and about to finish in 4 weeks, 20 trays, I think I will need longer to get the result I need though.

ps, how long did you wear them for ?

You have beautiful teeth, square and strong and white. They are not 100% perfect, as pp said there is a very slight slant, but it doesn't detract from them to me, as an outsider. You need to be happy with them though so i think a conversation with the dentist is worth having. Did they promise absolutely straight, as that is not always possible.

I have attached my teeth when I first got the Invisalign so you can see massive improvement.

I’ve paid £400 for the top and bottom fixed wires now so I feel like there is no going back. I wonder if composite would help but of course more money!

@BlondieR22 I think a few things here which is that a) no ones teeth are perfect without veneers and even then there are flaws ie Tom Cruise b) you are highly critical because they are new for you and you assume everyone sees the flaws you see c) you may need more time to correct what it is you see d) whitening does wonders for hiding flaws e) no one is looking at your teeth to the degree you are looking at them or imagining others are looking at them f) one tooth may look out of alignment because it's shorter than the other, either altogether or at the edge, which is an easy fix

overall, there has been a massive improvement and if you did nothing else at all, it would be fine

I think your teeth are great!

I think they look fabulous! They look natural and just look like you have good teeth. Whenever teeth are completely perfectly aligned etc I think they can look a bit odd and unnatural and stand out for the wrong reasons. This looks great!

PS how long did this take?

There is a limit to what can be done with invisilign.
I was told that I'd need train tracks. Maybe that is the best result you can get.

I wouldn’t keep going striving for “perfect”

Nobody has 100% perfect teeth, the only teeth that are 100% perfect are Turkey teeth.

it’s the slight variances that make a nice smile. And I don’t even particularly see any variances / imperfections by the way, I think they look great.

A word of warning - do get removable retainers made that fit over the wires and wear them at night, as even with both of those my teeth have still moved back after Invisalign! (Admittedly 10+ years later). Not sure wires alone will hold them. I also thought mine would be more perfect than they looked, so it’s hard to be realistic when comparing to veneers, but yours do look great.

Wow they look amazing, personally I think that absolutely perfect symmetrical teeth look artificial. Yours are a few millimetres out and look natural and beautiful. What a difference, they look great

i agree I am staring at them way to much and actually looking at that first picture they are pretty perfect compared!

I will continue with the whitening as I think white teeth make everything better!!

I started in September and had them off about a month now! So quicker than predicted. Pretty amazing in 7 months really

Ah yes I have also got the retainer for night time which I am trying to be religious about wearing. I keep thinking they are moving already actually which is worrying! But might be imagining

I think the results look fab. You are beautiful already so you wouldn't want it to look too 'done', you'd look like barbie. A little bit of imperfection in perfection, that is beauty. Just ask art historians.

agree you do get carried away with always seeing dead perfect straight teeth but I guess they aren’t actually real teeth!!

It was a pretty easy process and I am really glad I done it! If all goes well you can cut the time down by changing every week! I also have to slightly admit I did take them out for nights out, social events and meetings as I was a little insecure and I have still had great results!

They look really good. I don't think they need to be whitened.

I don’t know why you are considering composite? They are nice teeth, really good shape and colour. I don’t know what composite would do except remove your ability to whiten those with composite additions?

Please don't make yourself look like you've stepped off a plane from Turkey. They look beautiful.. And beautiful doesn't mean perfect imo.
