What the hell are Jorts?!

I just want knee length denim shorts. Which appear to no longer exist! Instead it’s Jorts.

They have been sold for years. I bought a pair in 2011 - they were called "city shorts" back then. I know exactly when I bought them because I was pregnant.

No. Jorts are baggier and longer. They aren’t bermudas or city shorts. As a PP said, they are often worn by skate boarders.

Yes that’s correct, jorts are baggy! However the op was specifically trying to search for what i believe to be bermuda shorts NOT jorts hence me giving her the correct term to search for as she doesn’t wants jorts. HTH 😉

The H&M double denim outfit is probably my favourite. I think it needs that melania trump parka (in acid-wash denim) over it.

I got some of these thinking they were shorts, ordered online, tried them on and my son couldn't keep the expression of amusement of his face, I looked in the mirror and understood his thoughts. I have very very thin legs (think of the man from carry on films, Charles Hawtrey from Carry on Camping. I also have a bit of a belly, so I looked like 2 sticks sticking out of a balloon! Not flattering at all on my shape.

Just cut up some jeans. Then you can get the exact length you like. If you don’t want to cut up your own jeans get done from a charity shop?

Yes. I had some from Sainsbury’s. They were perfect. They are now too big.

I love mine from Sainsbury's. They are straight cut but not tight and come just below my knee. They look really smart and hide my ugly legs

@BitOutOfPractice , culottes are usually longer than shorts.

Skorts are shorts at the back and a skirt type sometimes wrap skirt at the front . I've got a couple of pairs in a drapey fabric not stiff denim or linen.

Also got some golfing skorts which are a skirt with shorts underneath - like thicker chub-rub shorts which are all one garment .Just above the knee
