Ideas for a flattering London summer wedding dress after a split

I would LOVE some ideas for gorgeous dresses that might work for a London summer wedding. Context is that I just split from partner I was expecting to go to the wedding with so I’d like to look smashing and like I DNGAF. I’m not much of one for dressing up and have nothing to wear. The couple are old friends from uni and there will be many old faces there. I’m almost 5,10 (so most dresses in shops are too short) and a size 10. Don’t want to wear heels. Thanks in advance!!!

@PithyBeaker

Are any of your friends going too, OP?

I was wondering whether they had said what they were planning to wear.

Re length, I would suggest 'Midaxi' length for a City wedding, especially if you need to walk from the Church to the reception.

I like the Cosima blue dress and really like the Bella Freud red dress both on page 2.

Good shout. I quite like this but is it too casual for a wedding 🤔 farmrio.uk/products/artsy-flora-red-short-sleeve-midi-dress

You would have to dress it up a lot - its got quite a beachy vibe. Why not go for somethin a lot more dramatic - say a big colourful print? As you are tall you could carry off a big print in bright colours. That woud send the required NGAF message better than this one, imo. 🍀

With that budget I’d be looking at Rixo, the Reformation possibly Me+Em. I find Me+Em great for taller people but you do run the risk of half a dozen others having the same dress.

The Fold also has a few lovely silk dresses that would be great for a wedding. I love this one but a bit above budget https://thefoldlondon.com/product/rivara-silk-chiffon-maxi-dress-green-and-ivory/?glCountry=UK&setCurrencyId=0&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=22420916309&utm_content=shopping&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22414410609&gclid=CjwKCAjwnZfPBhAGEiwAzg-VzIDXDIt6Xy6QLR8k9ZAgcMTrdXtZhk1F4lJgEBwY0CZGg2rA8eTFDxoCxmMQAvD_BwE

I’m a tall girl and love that.

I think the pull tie gap in the middle isn’t quite right for a wedding.
I like The Fold one but no way is that worth £750. It looks like Ted Baker or similar high street to me.

Maybe Hobbs? They have nice clothes, or Roman.

This Reiss dress is similar to your style but less beach
