Ideas for a flattering London summer wedding dress after a split

I would LOVE some ideas for gorgeous dresses that might work for a London summer wedding. Context is that I just split from partner I was expecting to go to the wedding with so I’d like to look smashing and like I DNGAF. I’m not much of one for dressing up and have nothing to wear. The couple are old friends from uni and there will be many old faces there. I’m almost 5,10 (so most dresses in shops are too short) and a size 10. Don’t want to wear heels. Thanks in advance!!!

Re length, I would suggest 'Midaxi' length for a City wedding, especially if you need to walk from the Church to the reception.

I like the Cosima blue dress and really like the Bella Freud red dress both on page 2.

You would have to dress it up a lot - its got quite a beachy vibe. Why not go for somethin a lot more dramatic - say a big colourful print? As you are tall you could carry off a big print in bright colours. That woud send the required NGAF message better than this one, imo. 🍀

I think the pull tie gap in the middle isn’t quite right for a wedding.
I like The Fold one but no way is that worth £750. It looks like Ted Baker or similar high street to me.

Ladies, just an update that I bought this, it just arrived and looks lovely so I’ll probably wear it. Taking recs now on shoes to go with it… I’m 5’10” so nothing very high (or even remotely high, two inches absolute max and I prioritise comfort bc I plan to dance all night at this wedding 😎). I have a pair of low black sling backs with a pointy heel that are v elegant but I think don’t go with the dress… what I’d really like is a pair of 90s brown leather sandals w a low chunky heel … like my ten yr old self rocked circa 1995 … but I’ve no idea where to find something like that. Any other suggestions v welcome. X

Ooh these are gorgeous but I’ll be wearing big silver Georg Jensen earrings… so maybe not gold….

Also Anonymous Copenhagen with a low chunky heel (if that's what you want). Some in the sale - you can filter by heel height, colour etc.

Just seen your update - filter by silver & heel height (they do it by increments of millimetres!!). Loads of lovely ones!

They come in silver too. Plus all these flats - a couple in the sale, but not the woven ones! But they're the kind of thing that I think would be really useful at other times to dress things up instantly.

That's a dynamite dress! Gorgeous. And the Anon Copenhagen sandals are very cool, they'll look amazing and I wish I had a reason to buy them myself
