Time for a new thread, our first in a MN Community Group. We've chatted and purchased beauty bargains so much we've become a literal tribe! 😂

In other news PLouise was out of the gate with ridiculous speed announcing the first advent calendar waitlist in April.

In celebration I thought I'd try out a poll. It runs for 7 days, there was only 6 options so comment in the thread for those that come under 'Other'.

Not sure when the waitlist started last year but the contents were revealed 2nd July. So not that long to wait!

They are actively asking for feedback on the 2025 advent calendar so I get the feeling that they haven’t confirmed the products yet. Otherwise feedback would be pointless. I heavily suggested no more PK!

I'd love to know how it all works behind the scenes. If I ever decide to moonlight as a documentary maker this will be my debut film.

Maybe they lock the brands in quite early but there's further discussion and leeway about which products. A full size Trinny Elevator neck cream would really popular I think, but yet another lip/blush cream a bit more meh.

I'd really like to get the Liberty BAC one year so I'm hoping for a curation I really like.

I said the same about PK! And also no footcream either.

Here's hoping the feedback is used for this year.

I've just filled in the survey. Gave the obligatory no more Elasticizer. Also mentioned I'd like exciting make up, not black mascara or black eyeliner and if they put in a shampoo there must be a matching conditioner.

I put that a full skincare routine is appealing - day cream, serum and night cream. To be fair I can't remember if they did do this last year but I know sometimes with BACs you can end up with a couple of day creams and no night creams or vice versa.

I genuinely would like to buy it one year but it is quite hard to pinpoint why it didn't hit the spot for me last year because it was stuffed with a lot of expensive products and scents and I had a lot of BD vouchers.

It bugs me too when an edit, gwp or calendar only has a shampoo and not the matching conditioner! Why would they do that?!

Ugh! It's got PK Elasticizer in it. I'm just not buying anything with that in till I finish the 10 unopened PK products I alread havey

I put the products needed to be not the usual that have appead in other boxes frequently or bog standard such as black eyeliner, mascara. Loved Zelens, loved the PC azelaic, they could have gone with a boring moisturiser or usually BHA but gave us a treatment which I liked. Didn't like the unisex fragrances, too much haircare, poor range of makeup. But mainly bought because I'd only used 2 of those before.

It was in an email this evening. Even when I clicked through from the email to the website there was no mention of it anywhere yet that I could see.

Thanks. Was really thinking it wasn't coming. I'm probably going to be buying from Harrods next week. Some of the usual suspects but I can see some stuff I'll like too.

I've just told liberty that I don't want to see elasticizer again 🤣 The bag has been the same design but different colours for the last few years, that's a bit disappointing, the 2022 one was gorgeous and it's like they've given up since 🤭

Harrods have also sent a birthday double points offer for next week. The chance of me not spending £250 there next week is now practically at zero. 😂

Also, again apologies if anyone has already posted this, but cult beauty have a free gift with a £50 makeup spend (stacks with their 20% off at the moment) - there are a few things to choose from, some very meh, some slightly better, but I opted for a nudestix eye colour pencil. Code GIFT. No idea if it’s only valid for people they’ve sent it to or not, though.

It looks like a nice selection of some new and familiar products. I can't tell what the evidens product is, but it looks a decent size, also can't tell what the mz skin products are either 🤣 I like that sdj cream so that's a winner for me, it goes well with delina. I don't think I've smelt the 87 though, unless that's just the original? The cute little d&g looks like the mascara and there's a nars lipgloss but no other make up 😕 is that the marc antoine barrois perfume discovery set though?

I'm buying more of the Dior summer stuff 😍 Maybe a perfume and maybe another eve lom set from the sale 🙂

I told Liberty I wanted full size products and no more of those awful ‘niche’ perfumes. I forgot to say: NO MORE EMU! 😹

Unfortunately the CB free gift with £50 spend on makeup is not showing for me. It may well be specific to certain accounts. I haven’t ordered from CB in ages so they don’t feel the need to tempt me perhaps.

I’ve just checked - the gift is on my CB account. However, I do no need more make up so will be resisting!

Btw: I haven’t made an order with CB since the mask/points drama. Did all the people affected get the situation resolved?

I have £20 of points, (most accrued before the extra points promo), but haven’t dared to try spending them.

Medik8 have some sort of new super serum launching on the 14th. They haven't named it as yet.
