Beauty chat - freebies/gifts with purchase/offers THREAD FOURTEEN

OvaHere · 19/04/2026 09:03

Time for a new thread, our first in a MN Community Group. We've chatted and purchased beauty bargains so much we've become a literal tribe! 😂

In other news PLouise was out of the gate with ridiculous speed announcing the first advent calendar waitlist in April.

In celebration I thought I'd try out a poll. It runs for 7 days, there was only 6 options so comment in the thread for those that come under 'Other'.

As always, welcome back long standing beauty bargain hunters and hi to anyone new who would like to join. Usual caveats about the threads being bad for you wallet still apply, but enjoy anyway. 🤗

@namechange0998776554799000 My skin overall looks much better, but I’ve been having microneedling alongside all the fancy skincare. The only issue I’m having is my neck, I’ve just bought the Elemis neck cream to try. I do think it takes a while for the skin to catch up when you lose weight, so it might just be a matter of time.

Ha, the one thing I'm happy with is my neck. Trinny elevator has been amazing for that. I tried several others and they weren't as good. Didn't take the Elevator with my over Easter and I could really tell the difference

You are all amazing and inspiring! I’m at the very beginning of my weight loss journey. Amazingly I think my weight is only going from my toes and fingers at the moment because despite loosing 20kg I’ve not quite gone down a dress size soo all of my money is currently going on beauty!

It took me ages to go down the first dress size. They speed up massively as you get to the smaller sizes

LouScot · 24/04/2026 12:31

Just seen the fairy/m holt benefit bag is a cult beauty gwp when you spend £55 on benefit, but can't see what its worth. I wonder if its only gwps they try their hand son rather than edits.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/04/2026 12:39

Does anyone here recommend Yepoda? There's 30% off at the moment but I haven't used any of their products before. I feel like I need something nourishing but light for AM.

keepincool · 24/04/2026 13:01

I'm another one that has lost nearly 4st on Mounjaro - there seems to be a bit of a theme maybe - as we feel better about ourselves we've started focussing on self care and a bit more self love (which obviously translates to buying myself lots and lots of gifts, particularly skincare, make-up and fragrance 😁)

Just waiting for my Style Korean Besties Mint and Rising Green boxes to arrive today, but have been quite good in resisting other offers over the last few weeks.

@user593 - I've purchased one of Trinny's microneedle devices but haven't dared used it yet - do you have any tips?

I picked this up and think @Doglover73 did as well.
I follow Andrew on Instagram so knew when it was launching, it’s a great box as the Azeliac and cleanser are two I use regularly.

Yes I did. Need up with 2 as wasnt sure first one had gone through.
Im not keen on navigsting tiktok shop but it was a good buy.
I noticed last night they were selling cult sf boxes with a discount x

2 of my gap x VB order arrived. The t-shirts are tiny and the grey one has no stretch. I'm tempted to keep a white one but it feels like that material that will just shrink in the wash. I sized up as I wanted a relaxed oversize look which is lucky as an L would deffo not have fitted. The website has labelled the jeans incorrectly, I ordered a 16 and 18, a 14 and 16 arrived in both sets. The 16 fit ok, I had just eaten a sandwich though so maybe they'll fit better when I'm not as bloated. The sizes on the light blue jacket are fine, but there's something about the fit that I'm not 100% sure about. Maybe when I get the darker version it'll look better.

Now, my biggest disappointment is the white denim zip up shirt jacket thing. I absolutely love it, I think it's so stylish, the image shows it as oversize but when I put the XL on, I didn't like that look on me. But look, the stitching doesn't match up!! 😰 That's a good half cm difference, I'm not impressed!

My cult beauty sun edit is FINALLY being delivered today. CB are still blaming evri, evri are still blaming CB.

Also, where is that look fantastic new season edit? Why is it taking so long to release?! 😕

The LF new season edit appears to be available in Germany today according to beauty detective, so we'll just have to move there!

That is really poor! I could just about accept it if I’d made it myself but not on something I’m paying for.

I’m another one on WLI! Almost 14 months 7st down, around 5 clothes sizes. I’m hovering between a 12 in Sainsbury and 14 most other shops except Primark where I’m probably a 16. EXCEPT, I bought some wide-leg linen trousers in Jigsaw this week. And they’re a 10. Snug to get on and off but once on they fit beautifully. So I’m amazed and chuffed to bits!

I started in on the skincare with serious dedication around a year ago and my skin is probably the best it’s ever been. So I’m really pleased at this extra benefit!

This is it for me. I'm finally starting to feel a bit better about myself. I thought for years there was no point getting interested in beauty as I didn't have a clue, and felt too insecure to ask. Everyone on these threads has been so kind and informative, its a lovely space 😊

I would love to know how you find this as I’m very tempted by the TRINNY kit.

Wow!! That's another amazing weight loss, well done. You'll all have to pm me your meal diaries. All these success stories are making me want to work harder at losing it. I have been getting out and walking every day and most days I have a caesar salad for lunch but I could definitely do more and need to resist temptation (with everything, chocolate, clothes, beauty products, perfume 🤣).

I know, I'm so disappointed as it's my favourite item from what I've received today.

Fleecy · 24/04/2026 15:53

My SIL got the Andrew W Regimes box and was really pleased with it.

I was pottering around in my nearest city today (Norwich - think someone else on here is in the same area?) and popped into Space NK. All the blusher talk has inspired me to get one as I haven't worn much make up over the last 20 years or so, but I've just started wearing glasses and am giving myself a bit of a makeover. Bought a Rare Beauty soft pinch liquid blush. Hoping it will ease me in. Perhaps I will soon be joining you in the large stock of blusher habits. I have plenty of skincare and perfume already, as well as far too many lip products...

Fillybuster · 24/04/2026 15:57

I’m super impressed by all these weight-loss journeys…massive kudos 🙌 and 💐 to everyone!!

I finally 3 stone via a long stint of 5:2 and lots of exercising about 6 years ago, after about 10 years of feeling like I’d been totally stuck in a cycle of losing/regaining the same few lbs over and over on repeat, which really ground me down. I wish GLPs had been around back then.

Keeping it off is hard too! The main thing for me is that I discovered, for the first time in my life, that I really enjoy weightlifting and some cardio stuff like spin and boxing. The problem I have now is eating to gain muscle, which is a totally different challenge. Oh, and that my shoulders and upper arms are bigger than my fairly slim frame, so sleeveless tops and dresses are much more comfortable 🤣

Speaking of which @JoRaRaRa i was kicking myself for getting online too late this morning!! The one thing I really wanted was the long line green jacket ☹️ But £500 Gymshark order arrived today, and DH spotted the pile of beauty boxes badly hidden under my desk, so perhaps that’s no bad thing?

JoRaRaRa · 24/04/2026 16:34

@Fillybuster I tried to buy the green parka in the pre-sale yesterday but it sold out super fast.

Cyclingmummy1 · 24/04/2026 17:26

JoRaRaRa · 24/04/2026 09:24

I bought the trench coat, both the denim jackets, the jeans in all 3 colourways, the Capri jeans, the blue hoodie, the cargo trousers in both colourways, the beige bomber jacket, the t-shirt in both colours, the beige Bermuda shorts, the denim shirt, white shirt, beige dress and the bright blue overhead jacket 😳

If I bought all of that it would more than double the number of items I own in most of those categories 😆

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 24/04/2026 17:32

Another one on WLI here and nearly 5 stone down. Under eye area starting to look a bit knackered, not sure if that's just because I am exhausted or because of weight loss. Need a bicycle pump.

Lonely12 · 24/04/2026 18:01

Hi well done to everyone on their weight lost.
i also lost weight using wli. After developing sciatica and arthritis in my spine, I put more weight on, can’t walk my dogs like I used to and also can’t exercise as I’m in constant pain, which is spreading to other parts of my body. Weight lost injections helped me lose over 7 stone which I hope to not put back on

I’ve been going to a beautician to have it done, I haven’t tried it at home. But I stop all actives at least three days before and only use a really comforting moisturiser in the days after - at the moment Laniege Cica Sleep Mask (old formula). Also, goes without saying, sunscreen!

I’m in Norwich! The SNK is pretty good, there’s an older woman in there and she’s really helpful and lovely.

Have fun on your blush adventures!
