When buying new clothes _do you wash them before wearing them?

I don't think anyone expects you to care. Wash new clothes or don't wash them, it doesn't matter. It was just an explanation of why some people do wash new clothes.

I should have added, even if that were true, I still don't care.

Goodness knows what clothes, and from where, so many of you are buying that apparently reek of chemicals.

Always. Anything that would be in contact with my skin, as well as towels and bedding.

All new clothes and towels, sheets, etc are washed a minimum of two times before using and put outside in the sunshine to dry and air out.

Do you not buy new clothes ever during winter or during those times we get weeks on end of rain and drizzle?

I’m in sunny part of Australia, not in the UK, so I don’t get that sort of weather thank goodness. It sounds bloody miserable. Daytime temperatures in winter are usually about 20-25C. Summer sucks though.
