Can anyone help me find a special dress for dd aged 5 to wear to a wedding

She is not going to be a bridesmaid/flower girl but it is her first wedding and she is really excited. She is going to be there for the whole thing

I would like to get her something really lovely, she would like sparkly I think. She looks great in pink, cornflower blue, yellow, in fact most colours (she has blonde corkscrew curls, huge blue eyes and pinky cheeks!)

Anyone seen anything around?

Are you all mad? Would you really spend £90 on a dress for a five year old?

twinsetandpearls · 20/06/2008 20:31

I would if I knew it was going to be worn again and again, would probably flog it on ebay or pass it down. Or I would try and make my own version.

this is not cheap but quite cute

twinsetandpearls · 20/06/2008 20:33

bonkers money but cute, TK Maxx have these in all the time though at great discount

twinsetandpearls · 20/06/2008 20:34

twinsetandpearls · 20/06/2008 20:42

I think hula's is great especially for that money, I may show dd.

dizzydixies · 20/06/2008 20:49

twinsetandpearls - I have two you can borrow, will pop them in a jiffy bag and pop them in the post

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 17:46

I thought you meant dresses but now I realise you mean little girls.

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 17:59

so is that a yes?!?

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 19:17

No it flippin well isn't, although maybe when then need dressing up for special occassions you could send them to me.

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 19:20

ok

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 19:33

Do they really like pink, ribbons, glitter and sparkle - I am tempted!

Do they like dresses that twirl when they dance?

Do they want to be Cinderella?

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 19:35

yes
yes
yes

have they been accepted onto the programme/passed the interview/got the position

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 19:36

Do you want to swap for a precocious wannabe goth?

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 19:36

who wants membership to the local golf club!

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 19:38

Ooh they are 4 and 2 what a fantastic dressing age.

I have kept all of dd big dresses, woud you mind awfully if I had your girls but when did not want to dress them up or play with their hair I stored them in the loft?

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 20:08

have put up some photos for your approval/rejection!!!

loft is good but I DO insist on watertight, drafts not so fussy about

send the wannabe goth my way, as a reformed purple haired/stripey tighted/pearl jam listening youth am sure I could assist her learning

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 20:11

You know those pictures are too cute to resist!

I am off to pack dd suitcase and clear the loft. I think dd would prefer you!

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 20:46

lol, she'd probably appreciate the CD collection of my youth (are CDs still considered ok or is it all downloads now?)

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 21:20

dizzy dd is certainly a child of the ipod generation. The only pink thing she likes is my IPOD.

dizzydixies · 21/06/2008 21:32

well dh is versed in the Ipod thing so she can talk to him about music, he's still trying to cling onto his youth music wise
