Can anyone help me find a special dress for dd aged 5 to wear to a wedding

She is not going to be a bridesmaid/flower girl but it is her first wedding and she is really excited. She is going to be there for the whole thing

I would like to get her something really lovely, she would like sparkly I think. She looks great in pink, cornflower blue, yellow, in fact most colours (she has blonde corkscrew curls, huge blue eyes and pinky cheeks!)

Anyone seen anything around?

If we are going for DD's tastes rather than grown-up tastes then how about this?

stealthsquiggle · 19/06/2008 14:56

oooh, or this?

sorry - that may be one someone has already posted.

CountessDracula · 19/06/2008 17:34

agree with the badge that cotton dresses with a sash look better

I went to a wedding recently and the bridesmaids (one 8, one 5) wore little pink cardigans and pink ballet style skirts and sparkly shoes

lovely

John Lewis is really good for this sor t of thing

Enid · 19/06/2008 17:39

hippopotamouse · 19/06/2008 20:28

Are you near a TK MAXX? I got DD a plain lilac dress with beaded sparkly bit under her chest and a cute matching dolls dress too. It was only £16! like this but not patterned

missblythe · 19/06/2008 20:34

TK Maxx is a good idea! Never have anything but flipping party dresses in my one!
