Go for a bolder, brighter colour 😁

OchreReader · 03/04/2026 00:02

No, you look absolutely fine. Love the flower ones

Crispynoodle · 03/04/2026 00:19

Love them have you got links?

U need to go up a size.

I don’t think she does, she would be drowning in the tops if she did that. Swimwear is meant to be well, clingy

Asiana · 03/04/2026 00:50

Now I can't unsee the flower nipples either but I didn't notice them before as I was looking at the cut. Anyway, chatgpt won't let me change the bikini to a more revealing - and in my opinion flattering - design (quite responsible of it actualy). I still think more exposed skin can be flattering. One pieces are great for swimming in the pool. Less on the beach IMO. But the more I look at you OP the nicer you look. Don't forget that in real life there will be a lot of real bodies around you and that you are not there to be judged. Have a lovely time whatever you choose!

mathanxiety · 03/04/2026 00:56

The black/ white one looks much better.

The pink flowers on the floral one are very unfortunately situated. I would not wear that one.

You have a very nicely proportioned figure.

ladyland · 03/04/2026 01:02

I love the first ones on you. They look great. Nothing wrong with the second, just not my preference.

Larose123 · 03/04/2026 01:13

The floral one looks nice on you!

Here, I’ve created an image of OP in a black underwired swimsuit with a bit of light fake tan. Compare with the original bikini pic. See what you think OP.

I see where you’re coming from, the black suit covers, shapes and looks nice, but conservative.

The floral looks young and fun and makes OP look great and confident.

I only date women though, perhaps that’s the difference.

mamaandbabas · 03/04/2026 01:31

Absolutely not 🥰 do not worry.

Mountainash · 03/04/2026 01:36

I love them. You wear them very well and look amazing.

But we are telling the truth as we see it. She asked about which suit we prefer, not about her weight or to make any comments about her health. She's not going to lose weight to your satisfaction between now and whenever so what... she's not allowed to wear a two piece and enjoy a summer holiday? I happen to think the first bathing suit looks good. That's the truth as i see it. That's the question she asked about. It's not about be kind, its about answering the question. Remember that meme that went around fb a few years back? 'How to get a bikini body for summer... have a body...buy a bikini'.

So am I - telling the truth as I see it

the flowery is nice but has no support in the boob area

and the stripy one ( in my opinion) isn’t nice and also has no support in the boob area

MorePlantsYES · 03/04/2026 07:55

@Fundraiser12345 If you're really sold on a bikini, why not consider a tankini? You can roll the top up if you want to sunbathe, or leave it down, whichever.

Anyone who's a little on the short side usually looks better in a one -piece because a bikini, especially one with 'big pants' can cut you in half and make you look shorter.

One pieces lengthen your torso and are more flattering.

Have a look at Boden for swimwear, and also J Lewis and Marks.

I think that you look good in a bikini and it shows your waist in a way that the one pieles generated by a PP don’t. Also a plain black one piece is frumpy as anything and screams “I lack confidence in myself.”

BUT I am a big advocate of spending more money and getting bikinis with structure. Underwires make all the difference. Your bikini is the entire outfit and needs to support you as you move so shouldn’t be cheap. You deserve better than Shein!

This one from Miss Mandalay comes to mind

Also this one from Panache would flatter your colouring

I prefer the floral one but think your top should be more cropped to show off your waist.

You look great 😊

I disagree. Bikinis show her skin but they don't lengthen her torso and actually make her look shorter (cut in half.)

BastardtheCat · 03/04/2026 08:48

I also agree about having more lift for your boobs.

EspanaPorfavor · 03/04/2026 09:01

Also, as my username hints, I live in Spain.

from my observations the only people in one pieces are Brits on holiday. (I’m not against one pieces I have a gorgeous boden one!) It’s quite sad and I don’t know the reason but British people tend to lack body confidence compared to Spanish and other nationalities (and they also come in all shapes and sizes). In the heat, bikinis are more comfortable, nothing worse than damp hot black fabric on your midriff when in 30 degree heat.

CharlotteRumpling · 03/04/2026 09:02

That sleek black one piece posted upthread is what I would wear because I am very minimalist.
But I also think OPs picks are more fun and have more personality. Not everything needs to disguise flaws or be flattering. Sometimes you can just wear something fun.

Hokipoki · 03/04/2026 09:07

Floral looks great on Op. But personally, I try not to shop at shein anymore so I’ll try to find similar elsewhere! 😍

Nara2k · 03/04/2026 09:12

@Fundraiser12345 I really like your tattoo, does it go all the way around??
The black and white one is nicer, at least with no tan, the flowery one is just all too close to skin tone, might be nicer with a tan?

'Body confidence'.

Maybe that's a synonym for not giving a FF on how you look, and wearing clothes that are not particularly flattering!

EspanaPorfavor · 03/04/2026 09:24

no, Spanish women can’t be accused of not giving a FF about how they look.

There is just generally less of the concept that being bigger is a flaw that needs to be hidden, which sadly a lot of British women seem to believe.

What I noticed from my time in Spain is that Spanish women tend to be slimmer (and less pale) though.

If they were on average the size of many British women - do you think there would be more Spanish women bothered about showing their weight on the beach?
