A lot of the older Scamp and Dude dresses are this style. If you scroll back in the site or look at the Preloved site or Vinted you'll find them.

Thank god I would look absolutely shite in that and am very easily led by Zara 😂

I bought it online and it went straight back. The fabric was horrid and the billowy shape didn't flatter me.

Why would you come on a thread where people are reminiscing about owning and wearing an item of clothing just to say it’s horrible? (Adding “sorry” doesn’t mitigate it.)

I’m not saying it’s horrible, I’m booby and small and short waisted so it would look awful on me . I bloody love zara, and very susceptible to a viral item frenzy

I hung up a dress I'd washed this morning and found my Zara dress 😁. A friend wore hers to death in one season.

It seems to have passed me by too.

I still have this dress in red and black leopard print. Haven’t worn it for years although I did wear it back to front to make it a v neck

I had 3 of these dresses! The original black and white, a red and black leopard print and a different animal print I think. I may have kept the original one but given away the others. Such versatile dresses.

I've worn the black and white version through all the summers since it came out.
Just about starting to show it's age. But it will be out again this summer.
Loved it then and still get compliments on it.

I’ve still got this dress, bought because I got sucked into the trend. It’s not my fave dress. But it’s a very easy dress to wear and still gets compliments. I use a red belt with it just to give me a bit more of a waist.

Mango have got some spotty midi dresses. Maybe a brown and black and another pen, not sure of the colour.

I love spotted dresses. I have several.

I have an eBay copy of it and I still wear it to work as a primary teacher. It really brings me back to that summer with the good weather and aperol spritzes everywhere 😂 I used to love the Instagram that "spotted" The Dress around.

It was so funny, it only seemed to be a thing in the uk, although I guess Zara sold it elsewhere. All the British tourists in Paris were wearing it that year so they were so easy to spot!

Funny that so many of us love it, still wear it and have so many happy memories of it.

Its puzzling, because its hard to imagine such a universally unflattering dress. There are 4 women of different shapes and sizes pictured in that Guardian article and they all look awful in it.
