I feel a bit odd asking this question here. What do people who actually own crocs think of them.

I'm looking for a pair of shoes I can just pop on at 4am to go to dialysis. They need to be suitable in all weathers.

If you do have them, what's the fit like I have wide feed.

I have wide feet and they’re fab!Or they were, have to get a new pair. They’re comfy and easy to get on and off. Totally recommend op x

Jayinthetub · 22/03/2026 15:16

They’ll be perfect. I also have wide feet and they’re super comfy. I slip them on for all sorts of tasks. If you know anyone with a blue light card the can get 50% off and some lesser % off the sale ones. There’s a lot in the sale on the crocs site at the moment too with up to 50% off. Happy shopping!

TheTortiePuffinNeedsHerBreakfast · 22/03/2026 15:17

I have some for gardening and taking the bins out. They are great for that. Size wise they seem to fit everyone, and the is a lot of leeway in that a size bigger or smaller will probably fit you OK too. You can wash them in a net bag in the washing machine if they get muddy as well.

OpalSloth · 22/03/2026 15:19

They are amazing. Everyone I know who has tried them is a convert. There are loads you can choose from now as well, they have loads of different styles

EveryKneeShallBow · 22/03/2026 15:20

I had a pair with fleece lining. They were great but the lining couldn’t be removed and they became a bit smelly in summer so wouldn’t recommend those. Get plain ones and wear socks.

AltitudeCheck · 22/03/2026 15:21

Not sure they are quite 'all weather' but they're extremely comfortable/easy to wear as long as you're not going through puddles or walking far in heavy rain. Lidl have dupes if you wanted to try a cheaper pair 1st.

Thanks I think DSiL has a blue light card as he's an ambulance despatcher

10/10 you can slip them on easily, they do ones that are waterproof / lined depending on how you want them. They’re also easy to wash and clean which is useful if you’re wearing them in hospital!

Anjo2011 · 22/03/2026 15:24

Love them for the garden and pottering about outside. Perfect for just slipping on and I think they would do the job for you. My husband used to hate them but bought him some for Christmas and now he’s wearing them too! As mentioned above you can get some decent discounts, Schuh have some of the classic ones on offer atm.

MamaBobo · 22/03/2026 15:29

I love my Crocs. Comfortable, light, incredibly easy to slip on. If you want to wear them in all weathers then the Crocband or Bayaband styles don’t have holes round the sides, just on top. They offer a bit more protection in the wet, especially from surface water.

youbizarrehorse · 22/03/2026 15:30

Mine are one of the best things I’ve bought. I don’t go to the shops in them or anything, but they are glued to my feet all day in the house and great for hanging about the garden. When I broke my little toe kicking one of DP’s abandoned clodhoppers, the Crocs were fantastic for cushioning and supporting the toe and accommodated the swelling really well. In saying all that, I don’t know about anyone else, but I have to be careful about wearing them with wide leg jeans/trousers as the rubber of the Crocs has caught in the flappy material and caused me to nearly fall flat on my face. I walk down the stairs like the Lone Ranger in case I break my neck😆

Octavia64 · 22/03/2026 15:32

Mine were the only things I could wear when I broke my ankle and it swelled up horribly.

i use them as beach shoes in the summer or for gardening, they can just be hosed down.

dizzydizzydizzy · 22/03/2026 15:33

I love them. Always wear them on long flights. Not suitable for snow, ice and heavy rain but great for most of the year.

Villanousvillans · 22/03/2026 15:33

I have a pair by the back door, so I can nip into the garden with the dog. They are very easy to slip on and off. Downside is they aren’t waterproof.

Right2BareArms · 22/03/2026 15:37

I've been wearing them for decades. Either real Crocs or ones from Primark. The real ones are better. I wear them every day as slippers/back door shoes.
I wear them instead of flip-flops on holiday.

I might nip to the corner shop in them.

KnickerlessParsons · 22/03/2026 15:38

Crocs are simultaneously the most comfortable and the most ugly shoes you will ever find.

RealEagle · 22/03/2026 15:45

Crocs website have deals at the moment.I love them even got crocs slippers so comfy.

countrygirl99 · 22/03/2026 15:46

Real ones are much better I bought dupes first and they split after a few months. My crocs are still going strong after over 12 years and I wear them most days.

Right2BareArms · 22/03/2026 15:51

@countrygirl99 , it depends on the dupes. I got a lot of mileage from the Primark ones, which were less than £5 at the time, and the Crocs were kids' ones so not £££, but the Crocs are more comfortable and have lasted better.

If I were only going to wear them on holiday as flip-flops, I'd probably get cheap
ones.

FlorenceBlack · 22/03/2026 15:53

I’ve got wide feet and Crocs fit perfectly.
I keep a pair at the back door to slip on for putting rubbish out, pegging washing out, mowing the lawn, they’re so handy.
We use campsites a lot and most people wear Crocs for walking to the shower blocks. They might be ugly but they’re bloody practical.

Right2BareArms · 22/03/2026 15:55

@FlorenceBlack , I agree. As long as the grass isn't long they're great for camping.

hazelberry · 22/03/2026 16:17

I love mine and I'm quite happy to go to the shops in them.

Glitterballofdreams · 22/03/2026 16:30

I have been a croc hater for many years, I think they’re so ugly! However I recently bought a pair to wear at work (nurse) and they are so so comfy! Really easy to put on too.

minnowonthesay · 22/03/2026 17:07

I love mine! I’ve got glittery garden crush ones and then I also have summer taupe slider type ones - mist comfortable shoes ever
