Do these trousers exist

I'm self-employed and mostly work from home. I don't want to wear gym leggings / jeans / joggers all the time but at the same time I want to be comfortable. But yet stylish!
I really need some neutral trousers that are comfortable, ideally washable, smartish and don't go bobbly.
I'm happy to spend £££ for some really good ones that will last. But do they exist?
Please help me wise Mumsnetters.
I'm considering Me&Em but would need to go and try them on and also probably get them tailored.

I love Halara trousers - smart but very comfortable, reasonably priced too. I’ve several pairs that have never bobbled, had them a few years and they still look brand new.

I wear the uniqlo jersey barrel leg trousers a lot. Comfy and pretty sturdy and you can dress them up or down.

StylishAndBeautiful · 31/01/2026 14:45

Uniqlo, M&S and Robell have stretchy trousers that are comfortable but look like trousers.

I love me and em, they have a number of draw string waist wide leg joggers, which they call track pants. Very comfy, hold their shape. I’d say size down in them,

im just under 5ft 7 but I’ve long legs and they hit to the bottom of my ankle.

I've recently got some tapered drawstring trousers from asda for £15 they are straight leg but not tight. A slight nod towards barrel without being too barrel. Paired with a jumper and they look relaxed but like you've put some effort in.
I struggle to do wide leg trousers indoors I find they feel like they are in the way. If I live in joggers too long I feel like a slob 🙈

No idea if anyone would class them as stylish though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Halara are brilliant. You can get them on TikTok shop now. Cheaper and no waiting. Or Vinted

Seainasive · 31/01/2026 16:55

not cheap but wash well and keep their shape : uk.saintandsofia.com/products/runway-pant-plain-black-trouser

hush have some great ones! Taylor side stripe trousers…. Couldn’t copy the link!

mungo55 · 31/01/2026 16:59

M&S have some super comfy ones -

denim elasticated wide leg trousers £35

they are a thick stretchy denim material and you can dress them up or down.

Palazzo trousers are your friend: https://bambooclothing.co.uk/shop/wide-leg-palazzo-pants-mink/

I like the Reiss elasticated waist trousers. I've had a few pairs off Vinted and they dress up and down, super comfy, non iron and wash really well

WoooMumma · 31/01/2026 14:48

I agree. I bought a pair of trousers from them which turned out to be too small. The cost to send them back (to China) was prohibitive and their customer service non existant. Avoid.

GloomyWednesday · 31/01/2026 17:10

Sainsbury’s have some great trousers.
I’ve got some thick yet stretchy wide leg black ones with good pockets and a thick waistband that can look smart as well as casual (not selling them well am I!)
Also some grey barrel woolly looking ones that are comfortable.

They both wash well and dry quickly

schmalex · 31/01/2026 17:22

Thank you all. Keep them coming! A girl can never have too many stretchy trousers :)
I'm going to try some Halara on Vinted. Looks like the trousers are good but the customer service is sketchy if you need to send them back.

I second Saint & Sofia, I wear the Apartment Pant in black

schmalex · 31/01/2026 20:28

Of course! Saint & Sofia. I've ordered some Keller pants - they're wide legged.
I will report back.

I hadn't heard of these, thank you for sharing!
Finding it difficult to get past the 'mature' styling though.
