Do these trousers exist

I'm self-employed and mostly work from home. I don't want to wear gym leggings / jeans / joggers all the time but at the same time I want to be comfortable. But yet stylish!
I really need some neutral trousers that are comfortable, ideally washable, smartish and don't go bobbly.
I'm happy to spend £££ for some really good ones that will last. But do they exist?
Please help me wise Mumsnetters.
I'm considering Me&Em but would need to go and try them on and also probably get them tailored.

The styling is fine but does seem to be aimed at an S&B DM or DGM.Smile

Picture them with a top from Zara or somewhere and some chunky shoes.
They aren't fashion but they're as comfortable as jeggings, wash well and look smart.

My DM persuaded me to try them and I got a few pairs (she might be old but not when it comes to clothes and shoes). Picture them styled like this Women's Smart Ankle Trousers | UNIQLO UK. or similar.

I love Halara trousers - smart but very comfortable, reasonably priced too. I’ve several pairs that have never bobbled, had them a few years and they still look brand new.

Just Googled them. They look great, definitely going to try these. Right up my street.

Another vote for Saint & Sophia. They are smart and comfortable. I often wear them for travelling as they don’t crease at all

StylishAndBeautiful · 01/02/2026 14:32

They look good, @Kangarude . They're more than I'd want to pay for WFH trousers but they're not too £££.

(I don't like the side stripe trousers or wide legs but other people do.)

Kangarude · 01/02/2026 14:46

I have 2 pairs of the Finsbury pants. I don’t like wide legs or the side stripes.
They are a bit expensive @StylishAndBeautiful but they wash really well. Also, they quite often have sales on or if you put something in your basket, they may email an offer

I have these for wfh and really like them, from the description you’d think they would be restrictive but they’re really not!

I’ve also got these, they’re like a slinky jogger material rather than fleecy, also really like them - https://www.riverisland.com/p/black-premium-high-waisted-wide-leg-joggers-920695

I have 2 pairs of the Marks side stripe pull on trousers.

I have to buy long length and I'm only 5 foot 6. They are a tiny bit too long but way better than too short.

Very comfy and def smarter than leggings

StrawberryJamAndRaspberryPie · 01/02/2026 14:54

Palazzo pants sound ideal. M&S have nice ones

not cheap but wash well and keep their shape : uk.saintandsofia.com/products/runway-pant-plain-black-trouser

I was coming on to recommend Saint and Sofia
I have heard some negative reports of issues with returns but I have never had to return anything.
Their trousers are comfy but are also smart enough to wear out

I wear the uniqlo jersey barrel leg trousers a lot. Comfy and pretty sturdy and you can dress them up or down.

I wear these a lot, also white Fox wide legged lounge wear
