Jumpers over shirt?

Basic Style question here! Love this look but my existing jumpers feel too thin for this look. Is that how its meant to look or should the jumpers be thicker? shirts from Zara.

You need men's jumpers as they're slightly thicker. That or wildly expensive ones. I love my navy grey cotton jumper over a shirt but I nearly cried paying for it. Rapanui mens look good but not tried in person.

Shirt- can't go too far wrong with a selection from m+s and pick your fave.

My shirts are mostly very thin so no issues. I'd wear a t-shirt under a bulky shirt.

Sometimes wearing a thin jumper over a shirt looks weird because you can see all the buttons etc.

I find it works better to put on the shirt, put a vest top over the shirt, then the jumper on top. It creates smoother lines. It's not really any more bulky, assuming you are also a millennial and usually need to wear an emotional support vest under all tops anyway.

That is so so clever!! I WFH fully now but often work a shirt/ jumper combo for the office and you could see the shape of the buttons through the jumper.

And yes, vests are an every day item!

Me again - so i purchased a fake collar thing but it just sits awkwardly on my huge bosom. Not sure if im even wearing it right!

Oh no! How annoying. Does it not flatten out when you put the jumper on over the top?

The ones I wear have some adjustable elastic under the arms/around the sides. This helps pull it a bit smoother.

Resurrecting a slightly old thread - I saw a school mum today absolutely nailing this look. I was gazing in wonder, it was perfect.

Does Anyone know the holy grail formula?

I always get one or more wrong:
shape of shirt
length of shirt
lack of big side split
too much side split in the wrong place and bunching up
jumper too tight
jumper too long
jumper too loose
jumper too thin

I basically need an idiots guide as I love this look and it suits my lifestyle and temperature needs well 😬

@LeftoversAgain did you have any further progress after the unsuccessful clip on collar?
