Does anyone use this? I see ads for it everywhere and I’m tempted to try.

Yes, I do and I love it.

Seelybe · 25/01/2026 18:30

@QueenAstrid I don't use it all the time but always have it in and have done for years. I really like it.

PonkyPonky · 25/01/2026 18:30

I think it’s crap. Does almost nothing and that slight hint of makeup it does give you wears off after an hour

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 25/01/2026 18:32

I struggle with foundation and make up generally and hate a lot of it.

I gave it a punt and actually use it.
I would say ....I dont hate...and it looks pretty good sometimes. It is not heavy duty coverage.

Which is fairly effusive by my standards.

GreenGodiva · 25/01/2026 18:43

I like it, I was pleasantly surprised tbh as I tried the il makiage first and didn’t like it so it went straight to my daughter. But the Laura geller Reminds me of the bare mineral powder that I used to use years ago. Very light, not cakey and just seems to even my complexion out in a nice way. i got two different toes, one is a single colour and a bit more coverage and one is the swirly multi tone powder. Bonus is I got a free concealer from them too and I quite like that as well.

theDudesmummy · 25/01/2026 19:09

I use it on its own for everyday/summer. Over BB cream for evenings/winter etc. I like the way you can gets different levels of coverage.

What BB cream do you like?

ThePoshUns · 25/01/2026 19:22

It was too orange foe
my pale skin.

Zelda93 · 25/01/2026 19:23

Yes I love it and I’ve had few people comment positively on my makeup which I have never had before.

Changingplace · 25/01/2026 19:23

The colour they matched for me was really orangey on my skin tone, I tried it but it didn’t work for me.

Agree 100%. I got it about a fortnight ago and had such high hopes. I think it's awful.

Jugendstiel · 25/01/2026 19:26

I use it most days for a bit of light coverage because it's easy and I haven;t found a good light cream foundation. But I do think it looks a bit like the kind of orange powder elderly ladies used to use, so I try to be quite sparing with it. I have dry skin and it is very drying - can make your skin look a bit dry. I often pat a tiny drop of Nuxe facial oil over it on the cheeks to avoid that old-fashioned powdered nose look.

I disagree with PP that it works off after an hour. When I cleanse my face at night, it's clearly stayed put all day.

Yup use mine over BB cream for a nighttime look too.

Ive got the additional pallet with bronzer, highlighters, blush and eyeshadow in too, i can do a day or night look with just the foundation, bb cream and pallet.

NoKnickerElastic · 25/01/2026 19:38

It's very orange

Keepsmiling2948 · 25/01/2026 19:47

I do really like the idea of it, and it does go on lovely but as other have said there is too much orange/bronzer in it to built up any sort of coverage.

I may try a cooler tone one next though to see if that’s any better.

onetrickrockingpony · 25/01/2026 19:55

It barely does anything other than dry my skin out. Actively dislike and waste of money.

Broop · 25/01/2026 20:04

I got some around Christmas time and am really disappointed! It’s both too cakey and too low coverage all at once: it reminds me strongly of the crap Rimmel pressed powder we all used as teenagers in the 90s! I was hoping it would be a cleaner and less messy version of the bare minerals powder foundation I love but it’s most definitely not. And it is very drying.

I got porcelain which is v cool, I’m incredibly pale and it works

QueenAstrid · 25/01/2026 20:30

Thanks all, some mixed reviews. I think I’ll give it a miss as I’m fairly pale and don’t want to look orange. I’ll keep looking.

OP posts:
DriveboyDogboy · 25/01/2026 20:44

Hate it, no better than a cheap pressed powder. Makes my skin look really dry and has next to no coverage.

Mosaic123 · 25/01/2026 21:39

I like it. I use an SPF factor 50 underneath.
This combination feels less sticky than a proper foundation.

I have freckles so am not looking for high coverage.

Fuckingfuckssake · 25/01/2026 22:08

I bought some directly from them and hated it for being too drying and powdery, I contacted them to request a return under their money back guarantee and they immediately refunded me and told me to keep the product.

Try Avon’s own brand mineral powder. I tried it as an alternative to BareMinerals (as thats gone downhill) and the Avon stuff is amazing! Great value for money and looks great on

I hadn't twigged there was a money back guarantee, just got my money back too - thank you!!

Chiefangel · 26/01/2026 07:52

I use JML magic mineral powder and it’s really good. There are two different shades, I didn’t get on with Laura Geller.
