Does this coat look too big?

Just that really. Bought on Vinted and it is bigger than my usual size, but really liked it so thought I’d give it a try.
DD says it looks fine, DP says it looks too big. What say you?

It is a little big but I think you can get away with it, it’s nice when arms are a bit oversized especially in this cold!

Too big unless you are going for an oversized look.

You can get away with a bit bit with a ‘fur’ coat. If the sleeves are lined you can take up the length by sewing up an inch or so of the lining, iyswim.

I think it has an oversized look, which seems to be fashionable right now. It doesn’t swamp you and I think it looks good on you. If you’re happy with it, then absolutely wear it.
if you not sure can you find a size down on Vinted and compare, then sell the one you don’t want?

I don't think it matters with that type of coat. The sleeves look a bit long but that wouldn't bother me.

I like the coat but I like jackets oversized. I really like your lamp.

I have this coat and like with all disturbia coats it's a case of always size down at least once.

I would say too big. But would look better with something slim fitting underneath or a short skirt with tights. I think the loosened of the skirt somehow makes it look bigger.

Sleeves are a bit long, can you get someone local to take them up? You'll get away with it elsewhere.

I would wear it like that, but I like things oversized.

Should be easy enough to have the sleeves shortened if you’d prefer.

Thanks all. Unfortunately haven’t been able to find it on n a smaller size. It’s a 14 and I’m a 10 so knew it would be on the big side, but thought with a few layers underneath it might work.
I’ll think about it and maybe sell it on. It’s new with the tag on.

It doesn’t appear ridiculously oversized - and even if it did, that’s a fashionable look right now. Only the sleeves need shortening if you’d want it to look more fitted. So find your best local alterations service and take it to them.

And I agree, a shorter, or more fitted skirt might make a more intentional statement.

The sleeves are far too long and are giving gorilla vibes.

I think it looks fine apart from the sleeves which are a little long. But sleeves are always long on me - if I worried too much about that I wouldn't have any jumpers or coats! Like pp say, you can alter them if you want.
