I'm have a long day in the car as bringing dc back to university & its 3.5 hrs each way

Its cold & damp here so i'm wearing

Soft straight leg jeans with a deep turn up in a mid wash

Navy sweatshirt with navy applique flower on front

Navy stripey socks

Mainly blue but colourful Hoff trainers

Anthropologie oversized scarf in red / pink

When i'm out of the car i have a long oversized cream coat

Plum leather whistles cross body bag

Not the most exciting outfit but its warm & comfortable.

Same as ive worn for the last 3 weeks (clean every day tho) pj's , fell and dislocated hip, fractured pelvis & fractured hip in 3 places, so totally hip replacement and non weight bearing on leg for up to 12 weeks !

Is it the Drake itility jacket you have? It keeps popping up on my IG feed and it looks really good. I am just worried it might be not warm enough? Maybe more of a may-june jacket but by that time would i want something a bit shorter and lighter anyway….

Difficult weekend to dress for here.

Heading over to the mainland at lunchtime, heading to a rowing heads race to chaperone some teens and help out, plus a trip to IKEA and a moderately long drive after.

Hotel stay (plus teens and 8 year old) then another day chaperoning/helping out at a rowing lake tomorrow.

So I'm thinking standard barrels and a tee shirt for today and the drive, swap to jeans for tomorrow as they're easier to wear with wellies if needed.
