Ive just had a look at that and it stacks with the new customer welcome code taking it to £100 🤔. I'm meant to be on a low buy regime...

As am I. Sorry. 😍
Ive not opened all my advents yet but its a good price for the contents.
My skins playing up and a few of the products im interested in trying. 😳
Ive just signed up although I was a customer of the sit they took over. If it doesn't work I may try my ither email 🤣
It does say no code can be used but a lot of the time they can. 🤔🤣

Still not made a decision on Tatcha. Will see when it releases. I still have the Beautylish box arriving mid Jan so I have to remember that.

I didnt get the beautylish so could get this instead of that and the tatcha. 🤔🤣

OvaHere · 06/01/2026 10:59

I've just shopped my stash and opened a new AM cleanser to quash the urge of a discounted BAC.

It's the YTTP Superfood Kale one. I tried a few samples of this previously and really liked it. They have some sort of mushroom based one I'm quite interested in too (but that's for another day well into the future 😂).

Ooh I have stash to shop for a new serum this evening!

It might be sachets! Though I could save those for travel…

Ive signed up with new email but no code sent. Its annoying as I never bought anything from escentual so technically I am a new customer 🤣

JoRaRaRa · 06/01/2026 12:05

Welcome20 is the code you need to take the ohmycream ac from £125 to £100. I'm tempted, but I'm on a NO buy ⛔ January so I am absolutely not going to buy this, the Liberty set or the cult beauty edit 😁

I do need another foundation brush, my hourglass one has decided to fall apart 😔 I think I'm going to buy the hourglass one again, but before I do, does anyone have any recommendations for other brushes? Ideally one that costs less than hourglass 😕

BakeOffRewatch · 06/01/2026 12:09

Why has the hourglass fallen apart how long have you had it? You should definitely go back to the retailer for a refund or replacement, they’re meant to last ages. Only thing is if you put it in boiling water or something that might melt adhesive?

@JoRaRaRa recommend Kevyn Aucoin £50 https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/p/kevyn-aucoin-the-duet-foundation-brush/14221089/

Lisa Eldridge £40.50 at Liberty at the moment from £45 https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/seamless-blend-brush-no-2-face-buffing-brush-R636155006.html

Laura Mercier £41 https://www.boots.com/laura-mercier-real-flawless-foundation-brush-10326086

LoveLabradors · 06/01/2026 12:10

Which hourglass brush is it @JoRaRaRa

JoRaRaRa · 06/01/2026 12:17

@LoveLabradors its an angled one.

@BakeOffRewatch I've had it a while but I used it with the westman Atelier drops and it was never right after that 😔

MrsBnow12 · 06/01/2026 12:19

@JoRaRaRa I caved and bought the Oh My Cream, lots I will use in it and got the new customer code to work so happy with £100 and the vanity bag it comes in looks great too. Thanks @Doglover73 for highlighting.

I love the Makeup by Mario F4 brush for foundation and also the IT brush and BK Beauty.
Th F4 is dual ended so know not everyone likes those style of brushes.

LoveLabradors · 06/01/2026 12:21

@JoRaRaRa there have been quite a few of those for around the £10 mark on eBay. I got one and they seem to be genuine!

Thanks for posting @MrsBnow12 I'm safe from the SNK edit too. Most tempting is the reduced BAC but I'm staying strong.

A word of caution about Hourglass and MBM brushes (possibly other brands too) being sold cheap on Ebay/Vinted. The replicas are all over sites like Ali Express for a couple of quid both branded and unbranded. Tbh they're probably okay brushes for that price but beware of paying £20 + on reselling sites as most of them will be fake.

Boots have an edit of their own brand products. £20 - a good budget box.

I searched my emails and had used the email before doh! 🤣 Had that code from when it changed hands. Wouldn't work.
My daughter signed up and ordered it first me. Im not buying liberty or tatcha and ive returned 2 m and s fragrance sets I got as they were reduced further and it was an impulse buy. Reduced to £15 now so i sensibly bought one. Sold out now. 🥰

IDontHateRainbows · 06/01/2026 19:30

None of these recent beauty boxes/kits are doing it for me. For some irrational reason, the name 'oh my cream' sets my teeth on edge too, so that's two reasons not to buy the AC even at discount.

Yes! I also find it offputting!

Although it also reminds me of a mildly endearing semi-viral video from years back in which some young girl accidentally sat on a bag of Mini Cheddars belonging to her small sister, who then went, ‘Oh no, my cheds’ in a sad little voice.

I suspect that’s not what the marketing people were trying to evoke 😁

EDIT: I looked it up and it wasn’t a video at all, it was a tweet! Adding pic if I can. Memory plays weird tricks, I could have sworn I’d seen it.

Doglover73 · 06/01/2026 19:38

Yes it is a stupid name imo 🤣
Possibly why id overlooked it previously. I think i expected it to be aimed at teens/20s.
🤷🤔

anyway, I’m going to start calling it Oh My Cheds now, but not actually buy anything

OvaHere · 06/01/2026 19:50

I've managed to survive what the edit world threw at me today without parting with any money. So well done me😂

I did stock up on a few hand soaps during a quick browse in TKMaxx but they are a whole family thing so don't count and also I have no back ups in the cupboard.

OP posts:
Thelifeofawife · 06/01/2026 20:06

The ‘oh my cream’ name is unnerving for me as well. I’ve always overlooked their products for this reason, but that BAC looks good.
I’m likely going to resist as I didn’t end up opening my 2 December BACs. I’ve had a rubbish time lately and although they were intended to cheer me up, I’ve just not been feeling it, and they were too spendy to just open for the sake of it.

Re the Hourglass brushes, I thought some off Vinted and I did suspect on arrival that they were copies. I think I only paid £20, it wasn’t worth trying to send back as Vinted can be a nightmare at times
