This is a bit of a boring day - I have used this product before and not found it terribly exciting. I will use it though, and love having a full size.
Still trying to decide whether to keep the blush. I don’t think it’s quite the right shade for me and I’m not sure about applying it. I am still using the Chantecaille blush from last year which I really love - and despite using nearly every day it’s still going strong!

SocksAndTheCity · 08/12/2025 10:44

I use Olaplex 6 every time I wash my hair so today's not a voyage of discovery for me, but I'm very glad to have another full size one for when I run out 😀

I tried the blush stick last night and looked like Aunt Gladys from Weapons so I may have overdone it a bit. I'll try again today and maybe put it on my finger first - I really hope I can make it work because I can't sell it now I've used it and I still like the packaging 🤔

Ladybridgerton25 · 08/12/2025 11:16

I’m a cool/true summer in the colour seasons so
the blush is a level
of perfection on my skin tone that I am so happy with. I also used it on my lips and ah it was beautiful. I already have the olaplex so happy to have another one for when it runs out. So far the only dud for me is the brow gel as I have no brow hairs, I have a soft tattoo instead because they all
fell out, so I’ll gift it on to my niece who has beautful brows.

I put it on my the back of my hand first, then take a mid size angled brush and swirl it around a bit to soften it, then pick some up with the brush and pat it on, building it up that way. I find it's the best way 🙂

Unless that would work with a pastry brush, I'm stuck - I own one makeup brush which is the double ended eyeshadow kind with a little sponge on one end, and I don't know where it is 😁

I think the problem was I put it on when I hadn't put on moisturiser for a few hours so it just stuck a bit too much. I'll try it again when I've got a better canvas.

These sort of blushes do work best with a good brush to apply and buff out.

Should you decide to get a brush can I recommend the Make up by Mario F4 dual ended brush for powders and creams. I've tried quite a few and it's imo the best or one of the best on the market. You can also use it for base products.

Sephora UK is the only place it's available other than the MBM website (ships from US). It is quite pricey but when they do their sales you can usually get 15-20% off.

Ah the colour sounds like it won’t work for me - I’ll pp on vinted.
It looks really lovely though .

@SocksAndTheCity - if the blush doesn’t work for you, would you fancy doing a swap for the Olaplex as that’s a DOD for me!
Though I appreciate there’s a difference in value.

I do appreciate the help and recommendations, but I'm not going to be buying makeup brushes. I spent north of £250 on the calendar already, and I don't expect to have to buy additional stuff to be able to try the things in it.

I'll find a way to make it work, and if I can't my niece (who doesn't wear makeup either, but marginally more than I do) might have the blusher Smile.

I should have had more sense and just put it on eBay, but I like the magnetic lid 😁

SocksAndTheCity · 08/12/2025 13:28

Actually (as a follow up) I've tried patting some on with my finger after doing my moisturiser/rosehip oil and it's gone on great! Less is more, obviously 😀

JoRaRaRa · 08/12/2025 13:39

@SocksAndTheCity Totally understand, after spending that much on the calendar, you shouldn’t have to buy anything extra just to try the products, so no worries at all 😊

It really is a gorgeous (and spenny!) blush, so fingers crossed you can make it work, and if not, your niece is going to think Christmas has come early 😄

And yes, the magnetic lid is ridiculously satisfying, it keeps sticking to my mirror stand 🤣

I've put it on again today and love it so much, definitely my favourite product from the calendar 😍

TheToteBagLady · 08/12/2025 14:54

Delighted with the Olaplex.

I use my finger to apply cream blush, you only need to dab on very, very little.

Caggie09 · 08/12/2025 15:44

I very nearly bought this Olaplex in the BF sales, just aswell i didnt! Not used an Olaplex product for a while, but when i have i like them.

BabyPigeon83 · 08/12/2025 18:47

Not disappointed at all with today's olaplex, I like the brand, and I will use it. I always use something on my lengths and ends before styling, I'm curious how it compares with my favourite one United from redken. Another good day. 😊

bigdecisionstomake · 08/12/2025 19:03

Not sure about the Olaplex - I've only used the number 3 before and found it a bit of a faff and it didn't seem to do much. I like the fact this can be applied to damp hair so should be easier to use. I'm going to give it a go with an open mind.

Very happy with the calendar so far but longing for some more skincare now.

Flaneura · 08/12/2025 19:03

So far this is the product I am least excited about... I have had it before, and currently have several other products from Olaplex and quite a few new hair products from this and other ACs.... I think should gift it, but on the other hand it is a decent product.
On the blush; event though I have brushes for it, I haven't needed them, it is easy to apply and spread with fingers, as long as I have moisturised well or if I am wearing a foundation.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 08/12/2025 19:44

Anyone who’s used the olaplex one before do you have any top tips? I have long hair but products like this always seem to go wrong and feel very heavy!! But I’m open to trying new methods of using it 🙏🏻

BelindaLouisa · 08/12/2025 19:47

Use a tiny, pea sized, bit at first and see how you go.

My hair is long (waist length at it's longest) and I use one pump after I've washed it and squeezed some water out with a towel.

I rub it between my hands before running it through my hair from about 1/3 of the way down, then comb it; if I'm putting anything else on like an oil I do that once it's settled in for a couple of minutes and then dry it Smile

I think I read that it can be used on dry bair but I've never tried that? I do like the Olaplex oil for when it's dry.

BlueLimes · 09/12/2025 07:05

It’s a good day 😀

I like Laniege products and have been thinking about trying the SNK bath range.

Happy Tuesday.

Good size for holidays too!

JoRaRaRa · 09/12/2025 07:37

Really pleased with the mist. With the body lotion, I've tried the SNK body scrub and wash in this scent and it reminded me of holidays, so I think I'll put this away until my summer hols 😊 I would've liked a more Christmas scent or even a fresh scent for new year. The body shimmer oil would've been amazing! 😍

I think the Laniege is full size. I would have liked full size of the body cream better, but I can't complain and will give both a try. I counted 10 full sizes far!
