I’m happy with today’s drawer and it will deck be items get used. @WhatAmIsupposeToDoNow I wear perfume all the time, whatever I’m doing. I usually spray myself very thoroughly when I get up, spray something different if I’m going out in the evening or when I take my pills before cooking the dinner, and then another different perfume when I go to bed. I like to be able to smell something lovely throughout the day.

Tupperwarelid · 03/12/2025 12:30

I’m pleased with the serum as well. I finished my previous one last week so this is really good timing.

IlovePond · 03/12/2025 12:50

I’m pleased with the serum too, but am always scared of things that say you HAVE to wear sunscreen as sometimes I forget this step. I will use it, but probably only at night.

Thanks for the info @Netaporter - much appreciated.

I used the cleanser last night and convinced I look glowy today. Have used the perfume and I really like it and happy with todays fancy pot😅 - got to see what I have in my stash serum wise and actually one of them now!

PuzzlingRecluse · 03/12/2025 12:55

I’m really pleased with day 2 & 3, I much prefer skin care to make up / perfumes.

im planning to try serum tonight, im also nervous of things that tell me to wear an spf!

WhatAmIsupposeToDoNow · 03/12/2025 12:58

@H3lloMums - I'm sure it was the cleanser that made the difference 😅Joking aside sometimes that's all it takes sometimes.

@Growlybear83 - oh wow,. that's impressive use of perfume. All of a sudden it makes me feel less guilty to use it just to potter around the house. Tbh, perfume does make a difference..and so does candles too. I wish Liberty had a candle as well

H3lloMums · 03/12/2025 12:59

I'm a bit nervous about actives too as I can break out with sensitivity! And it's such a minefield with mixing vitamin c and retinol together so having to check what can and cant use! This also says to start slow with 3/4 times a week.

Mmm- once a week for me, I think - to be safe!

@Doubletroubledoubled - do you wear perfume at home as well? I'm currently in maternity leave so seems to be a bit if a waste. But I certainly want to enjoy the products, it's a treat for myself so might as well

I’ve been wearing mine every day too, and I’ve been at home unless you count the school run! I have a range of perfumes that I forget to wear and I am not letting that happen with the perfume from this calendar; I’d rather enjoy it at home than not use it at all. That’s why I will be using and enjoying most of the other products straight away too.

nearly61 · 03/12/2025 14:14

I'm very interested to see if the serum is a good as it reads. Lovely to get a decent size too. I also love perfumes and enjoy spritzing throughout the day and then before bed. I like the initial hit as well as the dry down scent. Yum -so glad we are promised more perfumes to come!

Anything with Vit C or Vit A (retinol) requires an SPF otherwise the sun counteracts the active ingredient or can make your newly refreshed skin cells photosensitive.

Retinols tend to be more reactive so introduce slowly. Unless you are using the gold standard vit c (this one https://www.skinceuticals.co.uk/en_GB/c-e-ferulic-for-visible-signs-of-ageing/S17.html?gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1237374&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20593229728&gbraid=0AAAAADtBELiQA_z2djR_S8KQbi4Zi893G&gclid=CjwKCAiA3L_JBhAlEiwAlcWO53C-Rp3M54OCErqHTAlS-bkAGBoboj9g_3DE4u8P5IX_HFDzyOdWBBoC16oQAvD_BwE ) you should be ok as it is really tricky to stabilise. everyone is different though!

Speaking as someone who has spent a lot of time recently clearing the various houses of our late parents I’d say use everything and keep nothing for ‘best’ it’s heartbreaking to see so much unused China, clothes and fancy toiletries. Life is short. Plus you’ve just had a baby so have all of the treats!

LancreWowhawk · 03/12/2025 18:06

Only just found the thread, so I'm playing catchup!

DH treated me to my calendar, I haven't had a BAC before, but given I tend to be quite (ahem) basic with my beauty routine and products, this felt like a good way to try some new things and feel a bit special at the same time.

I love the perfume - I'm very into scent, and I enjoy something a bit stronger, so this was right up my alley.

Happy with the cleanser, as my current one is uninspiring and hasn't been serving me as well lately. I meant to try it this morning, but managed to hide it behind the shampoo bottle when I put it on the shelf and then forgot about it, so that will need to be one for tomorrow.

And I'm thrilled with the serum, because I've been wanting to try a vitamin C one, but every time I look, I just get overwhelmed with the choice and give up. I tried a bit on the back of my left hand this morning (I'd already done my skincare for the day by the time I opened it), and my goodness, it made a difference compared to the right one, so I'm excited to try it for real!

Netaporter · 03/12/2025 07:06

Today’s is good for me. I’ve not used today’s product previously, but my current Vit C serum will run out shortly after Xmas so this will be a useful replacement. It won’t be as powerful as a single Vit C serum I’m sure, but I’m keen to try it.

If anyone is unfamiliar/unsure where to fit this into a skincare routine, you should apply this to freshly cleansed skin and after a toner if you use one. You can then apply a moisturiser after giving time for the product to sink in. This product can be used in the morning or the evening. If you use in the morning, be sure to apply an spf (a combined moisturiser one is fine) even in the winter months.

Thanks for this @Netaporter I need instructions 😂 , I agree this looks like a nice one today ! I’m sure. Like yesterday’s but it didn’t wow me on opening . But some things don’t and before you know it you NEED it in your life .

Im with you @Growlybear83 live and let live , I’ve paid my dues and most certainly look after everyone else, this is my little moment of me .

who has the energy to criticise other people’s life choices ? There’s enough misery in this world let people just be happy !

IlovePond · 03/12/2025 19:08

@LancreWowhawk - you’ve made me keener to try it now!

Congrats on your calendar!

Thanks, @IlovePond - I'm very excited to try things, but a little bit nervous as my skin was in the past quite reactive. But my skin is very different now that I'm older so definitely going to dive in. This thread is great for me, because it's lovely to read the specific advice.

I've got quite sensitive skin and had no reaction to the serum at all, it just didn't do much for me.

imp2007 · 04/12/2025 06:12

Just catching up - glad I'm not the only one using my phone torch to find the right golden number - made me smile to think of others doing the same. I've started locating the correct drawer the night before so I know where to head in the mornings!!! I tried the serum last night and my skin feels lovely this morning. Really pleased as mine can be quite sensitive but definitely needs the help of some active products nowadays so this could be a winner!! Up early this morning have opened and am pleased with today's.

Netaporter · 04/12/2025 07:24

Morning everyone!

A bit of a miss for me this morning with today’s fragrance. I feel it’s a bit masculine?

lookonthebrightside0 · 04/12/2025 07:26

The Sixth. This is really lovely, very happy today.

I agree @Netaporter will be one for my DH, like many we receive from Liberty. He’ll be happy though.

Sunshineo · 04/12/2025 07:30

I haven’t tried yesterdays serum as have another on the go but sounds good.

I’m waiting for today’s perfume to settle but so far it’s ok.
