Just being nosy and place-marking, I have the SpaceNK BAC. I have Zepherine from a Liberty scent kit and forgot I had it so have spritzed it in your honour

Ilikeyoursleeves · 02/12/2025 08:09

Top tip, shine your phone torch on it at an angle to see the numbers, works a treat! I also put some tissue in the front of two drawers as I could see them poking out. I’ve now totally forgotten what they were 🤣

HumBumBum · 02/12/2025 08:12

Nice enough but hard to get excited about a cleansing gel. I loved the Omorovicza (however you spell it) that we got in the Beauty Drop and bought more of that one, hope this is as good!

Good idea about the tissue in front - I should have done that when it arrived!

I’d not heard of this brand so looked it up. He’s a Harley Street tweakments that look completely natural beautician. Cleansers are always useful if not as exciting as perfume. Is anyone interested in a running total of the £ value? After 2 days we are at £51.

carbonelthecat · 02/12/2025 08:58

DD(11) finds the day and brings the drawer over to me in bed whilst I'm drinking tea - luckily her eyes are better than mine and she doesn't have any problems with the gold numbers!

I like today, but I'm a big skincare fan so a new cleanser is always a bonus!

Same 🤣 nosey lurker here! I also like the photos 🙂

Me too!

I am running low on my stash of cleansers so I’m pleased with today’s drawer.

I use most things as I get them but things like cleansers are great as I no longer buy any, I just use ones from the calendar or beauty drop each year.

@HumBumBum I loved that one.

redluckycat · 02/12/2025 09:26

I’m pleased with today’s - it’s useful and will get used.

I think I’m going to use it daily in December, as my first thought was it would make a great travel size but then I remembered that I don’t really like using face washes when I’m away.

EdinaMonsoon · 02/12/2025 10:10

Agree that after yesterday's lovely packaging I was a little hmm when I opened today's drawer to find a white tube! It is interesting how much packaging makes a difference to our interest in a product.

I'd never heard of this brand until today but the blurb on the website sounds good. I have been using Sunday Riley products for a couple of years now and have been thinking about trying a different skincare range within the same kind of price point so I'm interested to see how this suits my skin.

IlovePond · 02/12/2025 10:38

Morning, everyone. As I have approximately 200 cleansers to get through, (not much of an exaggeration tbh 🙈), I am not excited about today’s offering, but at least it’s not eye lash serum or something else that I would never ever use!

@narniabusiness - that’s a great idea to keep a running total of ‘worth’. Are you just counting items that have a RRP, (as per Cosmetopeia), or doing a pro rata calculation, (like the brands do)?

Thanks also for looking up the brand details - it’s always interesting to learn the backstory.

I'm ashamed to say I have about that many items in every category😳

redluckycat · 02/12/2025 10:57

Day 1 came with a card and QR code which links to the products and information about them.

Yesterday’s perfume (8ml) sells for £45 but is on offer for £38.25 at the moment.

Today’s isn’t sold as a 30ml; only a 100ml for £45 from what I can see.

It might be useful to have two running totals, one excluding products which don’t have a RRP and one giving them a pro rata value.

Personally, for me, the smaller not for sale sizes still have value because I wouldn’t otherwise be able to get them; I don’t buy beauty boxes/ get free samples of anything like this because I usually stick to my long term trusted products.

I’m not quite that bad but I had 97 lipsticks the last time I (was forced to) counted them. The shame. 😳

I've told myself that I'm on a no buy next year, except treating myself with any cashback I earn. And perfume kits. And an advent calender. And my liberty drop. And my monthly facemask box. BUT that's it! 🤣🤣

I haven’t even bothered telling myself that because I know it’s bollocks!

This was me in my 20s/ early 30s, before I discovered my favourite items/ had children! I had so much skincare and make-up - I must have had 100-150 MAC eyeshadows and kept buying more because I read forums where we all got excited about the latest ‘releases’!

I rarely read beauty forums now and rarely buy make-up and I just repurchase skincare as I’m about to run out of my trusty favourites! This makes this calendar all the more exciting for me, as I will get to try new things (and then I’ll very likely go back to my usual e.g. Dermalogica moisturisers/ EL serum).

I probably should admit it too. Everytime I have a bad day I justify buying something, everytime I'm productive I justify buying something, if I'm ill I justify buying something. I am very good at finding reasons

lokijet · 02/12/2025 12:17

What was in day 1 - lots of comments on perfume but I got skin care??

EdinaMonsoon · 02/12/2025 12:40

Blimey! I'm in awe of the sheer volume of beauty products some of you have! I'm way more basic and I only really got into beauty & skincare over the last 5 years: started with Liz Earle, then Caudalie and now exclusively use Sunday Riley except for my evening jojoba face oil which I buy from a Greek brand called Apivita. Make up is almost all Chanel, except for MAC eyeliner pen which I have worn since my 20's and I only have 3 lipsticks!

I used today's cleanser this morning and I loved it. It left my skin feeling very soft & hydrated. It has a luxe texture and works well if, like me, you use your cleansing time to massage & awaken your face.

Growlybear83 · 02/12/2025 12:40

I’m a bit underwhelmed by today’s box as I use cleansers maybe half a dozen times a year so I’ve got a huge stash from previous years calendars.

Day 1 was a Liberty perfume for I think everyone who has commented so far. Day 2 was skincare.

Are you underwhelmed @Growlybear83?🤣 That really made me laugh with it posting 3 times
