I probably won't use this for quite a while as I have a lot of other perfumes to use up first 🙈 one day!

I sold my bag on Vinted as I knew it would sit unused here. I hope it's living a new life as a cushion!

redluckycat · 01/12/2025 08:37

I love today’s - I am going to be using most things straight away so I put it straight on!

It’s my first time having a luxury advent calendar and I’ve gone many years without even a budget one since having DC (I’ve had the odd one) but this was a treat from my husband this year. You can tell it’s a big thing in this house because him and my DC were gathered around watching me open it today!

Oooh strong start -I love the perfume! I have struggled with a lot of Liberty's earlier perfumes as they just didn't seem to either last or sit right on me but this is gorgeous. And it has settled into a wonderful warm hug of a scent. Happy day 1

HumBumBum · 01/12/2025 08:40

Strong start for me, I always love a new perfume in a decent size (and the same in M&S!!)

TheFutureIs · 01/12/2025 08:58

Fab start to the month! Love Liberty scents and this one is gorgeous. I did check all my drawers when it arrived, but that was months ago so each day will be a surprise again

Lizziebennett1 · 01/12/2025 09:17

My first luxury advent calendar, I had been really wanting the Liberty one and so pleased I treated myself now as I don’t usually. Day one’s perfume is absolutely gorgeous so I’m very happy.

spoeke · 01/12/2025 09:27

Ohh I much prefer this year’s LBTY perfume to the one from last year which was soooo strong (it was the oud one)! This is much more to my liking, especially once the patchouli dies down (the one note I really can’t stand). So excited for the rest of this month!

Tirednamechange · 01/12/2025 10:09

I agree, it was very strong going on but I really like it now it's settled. Probably not one I would repurchase (I'm normally a vanilla girl) but it's nice to have something different.

SunMootStars · 01/12/2025 10:36

Checking in! So excited this morning opening up drawer number 1. Agree with others, the perfume seemed strong at first but has mellowed very nicely. Not a perfume I’d ever normally buy, I’m usually a clean fresh or citrus scent person, but that’s why I love the calendar. I get to try some wonderful new things that I’d never usually consider. Happy day 1 :)

fitflopqueen · 01/12/2025 10:49

Joining in, think I like today’s scent although it’s quite strong at moment.

missed out last year so gave DH a gentle reminder a month ago and it arrived two days later.
Will see if I can match any of the cushions up now for the cover otherwise it will be going in the holiday luggage.

Marylou2 · 01/12/2025 11:29

Loved the whole opening part but sadly the perfume is just not for me. Had a tiny sniff. Do let me know if it's anyone's fave and I'll pop it in the post to you x

Iwishihadarivericouldskateawayon · 01/12/2025 11:40

I'm not a fan of samples size perfumes, not an exciting start for me.
I haven't sprayed it, but from smelling the lid, I think it smells a little like the lapland uk reed diffuser, which is my favourite christmas home scent. I may use it to spray the curtains over the festive period, or maybe it would work on a neom star diffuser?

TheCryingTheBitchAndTheFloordrobe · 01/12/2025 11:51

Oh I love this one, I can see me wearing it all through December. Now I want to go on a snowy walk through the woods.

SemmaLina · 01/12/2025 11:55

Oh , I shouldn’t have , but I might just have been on Vinted and bought another bag , as the cushion looks so lovely on my bed ……( and I think it’s too good to be used as a laundry bag )

lunar1 · 01/12/2025 12:05

I’m not a fan of the perfume, all I can smell is generic musky perfume and don’t get anything else from it. Perfumes are so personal though, and smell different to different people.

ooh, me, pretty please! I haven't got a Liberty BAC but I keep dreaming about one, one day.

notnorman · 01/12/2025 12:34

Oo I love the perfume. Wearing it today

No worries. If you're OK to DM your address I'll pop it in the post .

PuzzlingRecluse · 01/12/2025 12:38

Perfume isn’t for me either, I prefer sweeter vanilla scents.

just popped mine on vinted £8 but open to offers if anyone is interested!

PuzzlingRecluse · 01/12/2025 12:49

£5 not £8 🤦‍♀️

TragicMuse · 01/12/2025 12:51

It’s a good size but not for me - I’m a woody chypre/citrus/green kinda woman. BUT it will suit my sister very well, much more in her line of things so it can be a stocking filler for her!

Strong start even if I’m not a fan!

RockingAmadeus · 01/12/2025 13:25

I like the perfume, it reminds me so much of Vilhelm Dear Polly

StressieBessy · 01/12/2025 13:32

Really hate the perfume. Complete scrubber. Just so masculine and heavy. I find a lot of the samples in the Liberty beauty boxes are very male leaning too.

bengalcat · 01/12/2025 13:39

My partner loved the perfume ( only a matter of time before he pinches it ) - he wanted the bag ages ago

Mejera · 01/12/2025 13:39

I'm not a fan of the perfume either, but it is a decent size, and lovely box.

I'll be mostly swapping AC things with my sister (our kids are a little too young to be interested), but don't think she'll like it either. I have a friends who is addicted to perfumes though, so any left will go to her. It'll find a good home somewhere!
