Back to today's contents, the Larry King is too heavy for my very fine hair but the Maria Nila is working well for me. I was a bit disappointed at first because it's not actually an oil, it's a serum (despite the name), but if I use it as a serum it's pretty good. I wouldn't rebuy as I don't like the fragrance (smells sickly sweet, like haribo) but it's a good serum and I'll use the full bottle.

Tirednamechange · 15/12/2025 10:05

Excited by today's as I love trying haircare products. I'm new to being into perfumes so it really does amaze me how dividing they can be! I've liked all so far but love zepherine and yesterday's. For me it was too risky to buy an advent calender of this cost without checking the contents and I've forgotten all of it anyway.

H3lloMums · 15/12/2025 10:12

@AndeanFlamingo - what do you mean use it as a serum?

PuzzlingRecluse · 15/12/2025 11:07

Im really happy with today’s drawer & looking forward to trying them.

my favourites are the blue talisman perfume (and will defo NEED another bottle), MZ moisturiser, the serum & eye masks (I’ve already bought more from vinted I can’t believe how well they work)

It is really sweet smelling but the smell went off quickly, thenkfully: unless I just got used to it 🤔

WhatAmIsupposeToDoNow · 15/12/2025 11:30

I have tried the oil this morning on damp hair. It smells divine and my hair (the ends rather) feel really smooth. Looking forward to trying the other product as well. Good drawer.

I did research products before buying calendar but thankfully forgot what's coming by now. I'm overall pleased with the calendar and enjoying different perfumes. Out of all of them only Day 1 that's bit tricky. But I am into strong and masculine smells so it's right up my street 😊

It's my first year purchasing BAC. I doubt I will buy Liberty next year again but that's just because I want to try different luxury advent calendars. I also bought Glossy Box and opened it in October and was very pleased with it as well 😊

I love this thread - interesting to read different opinions of the same products.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/12/2025 11:34

Morning! Here’s today’s photo for the lurkers ☺️ I don’t use many hair products but in the spirit of the advent calendar I’m looking forward to trying these!

My faves so far have been the Ex Nihilo and Bibbi perfumes, the eye pencil, lipstick and moisturiser. If anyone wants to swap anything for the Ex Nihilo or eye pencil let me know!

I’m very pleased with the Larry King, I’ve had it before and really liked it.

fishcalledwonder · 15/12/2025 11:57

My DH bought me this calendar as a complete surprise. I’ve never had anything remotely like it (he normally buys me Lego! 😁) and it feels incredibly decadent to be sampling Liberty fragrances on a Tuesday morning before waking my daughter up for school! I haven’t looked up the contents so each morning is a surprise. No idea what to do with today's hair products!

I emailed via the website a couple of days ago and got a reply tonight saying that they'd send a replacement out

Just got my reply and same. :)

shinny · 15/12/2025 13:06

My DD mentioned the tomato candle yesterday saying how odd it was but I’ve still got it in my bathroom!

V happy with the double drawer today and loving hearing tips and tricks from everyone about how to use the items.

my favourites so far are lipstick, having a wide variety of new perfumes to try is a huge bonus and I only dislike yesterdays, and MZ moisturiser and LE pencil.

It’s a lovely way to start the day that’s for sure.

LancreWowhawk · 15/12/2025 13:16

I'm pretty happy with today's drawer. Argan Oil is a regular in my routine anyway, so fun to try a new brand, and I'll give the Larry King a whirl too. It sounds interesting, I've never really used a product like that, though I suspect it will be too heavy for my very fine, quite sparse hair.

I've got the Bibbi perfume on again today, and really enjoying it. I used to be such a perfume girl, I wore one every day, and I only stopped when DD was tiny as she didn't like it when I didn't smell of 'me'. Then I never got back into the habit. I think this advent calendar might really help me get back a little bit of me that I thought was lost forever.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/12/2025 13:23

Just checking…. Does Larry King have anything to do with that chat show host?! I kept thinking I knew the name and I then realised I was thinking of the chat guy!!!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/12/2025 13:26

I’m assuming it doesn’t BTW, just thought it was funny it’s the same name 🤣

Buster27 · 15/12/2025 13:28

I've not tried yesterday's perfume yet, but I'm loving the reviews as it sounds very up my street!

Today's is good for me, I could do with finding some decent hair products so looking forward to trying these out.

That last paragraph is me exactly! I stopped wearing perfume when I had my DC for the same reason and never got back into it! So it’s lovely to have a range of new ones to try.

( I also stopped reading beauty forums and being tempted to try all the new products, instead sticking to products I knew I loved, so it’s great to try new skincare and make-up too!)

Pinkyporky · 15/12/2025 10:00

I’m also very pleased with this year’s calendar. I’m really pleased it’s fragrance heavy.

I understand there will be meh items, I remember the tomato candle one year that was swiftly given away. I also realise that some skin care/ makeup may not suit my sometimes sensitive skin.

I think it’s been a good calendar so far. I was very pleased with my hair products- always useful in the winter.

I always feel lucky to have this in the run up to Christmas, I miss it when it’s over.

I loved that tomato candle 😂

hopefully the thread turns a bit more upbeat now. I’ve been loving the calendar and not so much the thread this year.

IlovePond · 15/12/2025 14:19

Hi, I am pleased with today’s drawer as I have really got into hair products recently. I’m not sure the LK will work on my hair type but I will certainly give it a go. I very much like the look of the argan oil.

I liked yesterday’s perfume - it was certainly the best of the perfumes we’ve had for my personal taste, (although I will definitely use the Zephrine too). It always fascinates me how subjective perfume is, because it’s not just personal preference, it’s that it can smell so differently on different people!

Favourite drawers so far:

MZ moisturiser
The eye pencil
The Emma Lewisham serum
The body oil - I LOVE body oils so much!

OP posts:
AnnieFrancais · 15/12/2025 14:23

Is the body oil actually moisturising? I was giving it away because I thought it was to make your skin look shimmery but reading that
everyone's loving it maybe I need to think again!

IlovePond · 15/12/2025 14:24

@AnnieFrancais - maybe a bit of both?

HumBumBum · 15/12/2025 14:34

Wow, such a lots of comments today, it’s taken me 20 mins to skim through!

I am delighted with today’s offering as I’ve never heard of either of these things and look forward to trying them. The talk show host one sounds most right for my hair!

My faves so far are the Byrao perfume (obsessively stalking them on Vinted) and the eyeliner. Haven’t yet tried the MZ or the serum, but I think those are the big hitters of the calendar so far.

10 days to go, I don’t want this to be over!

(btw I’m away for 2 days so won’t be reading spoilers tomorrow, hope I miss something amazing!)

TragicMuse · 15/12/2025 15:43

I’m loving the serum, it’s in my regular rotation. And the moisturiser arrived just as my previous one ran out!

I haven’t tried the body oil - how slippery will I be?! But I do have some dry skin so should give it a whirl.

I’ve done a scent swap with @TheCovetedDuchessRose so that has dealt with one I was less keen on.

I am enjoying my daily treat!

whataguddle · 15/12/2025 17:44

I’ve seen a lot of stuff for sale on Vinted!

I saw someone’s posted a Sisley toner for £40! 😝

Is the Lisa Eldridge eye pencil recommended? I might buy one of those.

Sunshineo · 15/12/2025 18:41

@AndeanFlamingo I’ve not smelled the oil yet but sounds like I would like it! I love haribo!

I had forgotten the tomato candle! I put it away for summer and forgot about it, I must find it!

AlPaccacino · 15/12/2025 19:09

I loved that candle. I can’t remember the brand though.
