Hi, if you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

My mirror water has a definite scent - I smelt lovely last night after using it!

I can’t smell anything now other than my perfume, I only sprayed a little on and my DC said the whole house smells of me now 🤣

@redluckycat Mine does too, it's gorgeous. Goes really well with my woodsy perfumes.

I am also a walking Liberty advent calendar today!

Morning all! My mascara batch no is LM2. I was going to save it but will use it this weekend given the feedback on some being dried out.

I am pleased with today’s double door.

Re: Liberty CS

I am a firm believer that companies need to know when there is a problem so that they have the opportunity to make things right.

With that in mind, please can I ask that those few of you on here who experienced adverse reactions to the Trish McEvoy lipstick, to contact Liberty CS.

Apparently no one else has complained to them regarding: adverse reactions/different colours/tastes/effects and I am concerned that they don’t believe me.

I know it’s a PITA but if anyone does feel up to sharing their experience with CS, I am sure they would appreciate it. Ditto with the mascara! If they don’t know about a problem they don’t have the opportunity to rectify it!

Looking forward to trying both of today's - the mascara is very cute.

I am not great at eye makeup and this is the first eye pencil that I haven’t messed up. Glides on really easily and smudges out great. Very pleased.

Ooh very excited to try the pencil today and I'm delighted with the colour, honestly anything but black would have pleased me though as I have so many black ones from various previous advents and edits! I did sell the mascara early as I only like tubing ones now but I'm regretting that as I really want to try Jones Road make-up!

I swapped the contents of today’s drawer with a couple of little Sisley creams from my HN calendar, and gave the mascara and pencil away in the BAC I made up for my local charity shop, so I’m happy today.

My mascara is also dried out and claggy. Which is a shame as I wanted to try Jones Road.

I’m a big VB eyeliner fan so any other eyeliner has a hard act to follow, but I’m looking forward to giving it a go!

Love the grounded coffee eyeliner and will stick the mascara in my gym bag.

I used the body oil before work yesterday and my skin felt lovely. No staining on my clothes.

Unfortunately my mascara is all claggy too.

Anyone want to swap for the mirror water? I’d prefer to swap for Zepherine, but happy to swap for any of the perfumes.

Great day for me - love Lisa Eldridge products and was running low! Not tried mascara yet but looks ok and not the 'dodgy' batch. Not sure why we only have a travel size mascara though. Full size would have been appreciated! Not a fan of the perfumes except for Ex Nihilo which is growing on me.

I ended up with 2 Liberty Advent calendars, thanks to my DSis buying me one after I'd already purchased one for myself. I've checked the JR mascaras. My calendar has batch LP2, which is indeed dry and claggy, my gifted calendar has batch LM2, which is fine. I'll get in touch with Liberty CS.

Edited to add my 2 lipsticks are fine and I've had no reaction to either of them (I have one in my work bag and one in a handbag)

Would my batch number be LLC then, it’s very thick and gloopy excess comes out when I pulled out the wand . But not dry .

The batch number is on the top of the box.

Mine is thick but just like every mascara I’ve ever bought - I’ve never used one that’s runny/ thin…

I think I have a duff mascara, literally came out as a lump. Code is LL2. Thanks for pointing this out as I wouldn’t have checked for ages.

They must have had a lot of complaints as they email back to say they are sending me a new one

Having read all the comments about the mascara I’ve just opened mine - with difficulty as it’s all clumped round the brush.
Mine has code LN2 on the box.
On a more positive note earlier this week Liberty was good enough to contact me to let me know that a gift voucher for £25 in respect of the Granado Tonka candle in last years advent calendar was due to expire on the 18 December.

Yes - they did the same for me. I had been kicking myself because I’d lost the original email; brilliant customer service to proactively email again with the code. I used it to buy a darker version of the lovely Lisa Eldridge glitter shadow from last year.

Really cross as my mascara has dried out & completely unusable. Disappointed.
