I'm enjoying today's cream. It's a good texture for winter and sinks in nicely without being greasy. My skin is on the oily side but it's still playing nicely so I'm impressed.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 08/12/2025 09:55

I’m wearing the Bibbi perfume today. I actually really like it! I love Parma Violets though, maybe it’s that that I love 😊

PuzzlingRecluse · 08/12/2025 12:02

Love today’s moisturiser, it’s the first in the calendar I would consider buying. But not at full price 😱😱😱

I've tried the Bibbi today and really like it too - I'm not keen on the Vyrao one though, so may sell it on.

TragicMuse · 08/12/2025 14:25

I am partway through my current moisturiser so will either hold this one till then or put it into a stocking!

HumBumBum · 08/12/2025 14:36

is anyone finding the Bibbi to be v short lived? I put it on this morning and can’t smell a trace of it by lunch time.

Happy with today’s although have a lot of day cream to use before it’ll get a look in. I started on my Dr Sebagh serum today, was that in last years? Or a Beauty Drop? But thought I’d better use up before this years serum, and oh my goodness it’s lovely!

Yes the rose serum is last years. I love it, it’s amazing isn’t it!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 08/12/2025 15:02

Yes i thought the same re the Bibbi fading very quickly, so much I’ve brought it out with me today and have reapplied twice!

H3lloMums · 08/12/2025 15:54

Yes, noticed completely faded with Bibbi after a few hours, although when I asked my OH he could smell it. I have Zepherine on today and I much prefer it. Nice to have a rich, peptide type moisturiser - bit on the small side which is a shame and spenny so hope dont love it as unlikely to splash out unless find a good deal in future. I'm currently using a a MZ retinol day cream which I got full size in a beauty kit and that's nice and rich, but I worry about using that every day because of the retinol and as has SPF restricted to only using in AM! Need a degree in skin care! I like the sound of the rose serum, sounds like that was a winner last year - this is my first liberty advent.

IlovePond · 08/12/2025 16:07

Hi, I am pleased with today’s cream and will use it once I have finished the never-ending nightmare that is the bottomless ELF moisturiser that I am currently wading through without enthusiasm!

@HumBumBum @Ilikeyoursleeves How funny! I found it to be super-long lasting on me, far longer than the Penhaligon's one I used this morning. It fascinates me how individual skin chemistry affects fragrance.

I'm looking forward to trying today's moisturiser, though at full price (frankly, even at quite significantly discounted price!) it's unlikely to become a regular for me. Still, it will be nice to check out what that sort of cash buys you compared to my regular French pharmacy brand.

The fact that it doesn't have an SPF puts me off a bit too - I am very lazy, so not having an extra product to let sink in every morning is a real bonus.

Buster27 · 08/12/2025 17:19

Really pleased with today's, right up my street.

I tried the lipstick today, no minty tingling for me thankfully as I really like it.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 08/12/2025 19:05

@IlovePond ditch your never ending moisturiser and start this new one, life’s too short! I’ve put my meh stuff to the side and I’m making a point of trying and using all the new stuff and not just saving it all up

MandyAndLola · 08/12/2025 19:22

For those who are loving the rose serum from last years calendar, can I ask how you are using please? I have found it a little greasy. Are you adding to clean skin and then moisturiser on top? Or over moisturiser as the last step?

I'm using it as a serum after cleansing and then moisturising on top. I let it settle for a while before moisturising and haven’t had an issue.

jay55 · 08/12/2025 19:28

Another good one for my hols today. My whole wash bag is going to be filled with calendar options.

Ok thank you, I’m going to try it again this evening.
Im also really pleased with today’s moisturiser, the eye cream from a previous Callander was the best I’ve ever used.

You’re welcome, really hope you like it. Agree on today’s moisturiser and the eye cream, it was phenomenal!! High hopes for the moisturiser!

IlovePond · 08/12/2025 19:56

You’re right @Ilikeyoursleeves - I have started using up things I don’t like on my legs so they don’t go to waste!

OP posts:
Ilikeyoursleeves · 08/12/2025 20:04

I do that too and I’m working my way through a body lotion I got last year but I’m trying to channel my inner ‘let’s try new things-ness’! Use the lovely stuff now and the meh stuff later.

Reminds me of a time I got my ultra frugal dad some lovely special bread as part of his birthday lunch and he refused to eat it cos he had a days old loaf that ‘needed using up’. So we had lunch with practically mouldy bread while the delicious looking loaf sat in the bread bin (and no doubt went off cos he had to finish the stale loaf).

I now make a point of trying and using new stuff and which gives me pleasure!

IlovePond · 08/12/2025 20:13

You are so right @Ilikeyoursleeves - I have to fight against that tendency myself!

SunnyPinkMoose · 08/12/2025 20:28

I got the MZ serum in another beauty box can’t remember which I think it was OK it retailed at 340 pounds 😬😬😬😬😬🤪🤪🤪🤪 not a chance I would buy it but I love love it . I looked on Vinted and it was selling for 150 🧐 still not a chance . The advent didn’t cost that much ! But do you buy multiple BAC’s to save but then have so much stuff that you really won’t use to get the one thing you love 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s then a false economy . But I was soooooohappy when this was there this morning . 💃💃💃💃💃

jay55 · 08/12/2025 21:15

@Ilikeyoursleevesi made a don’t save it for best resolution a decade ago. And im trying to continue it with these things without being too wasteful.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 08/12/2025 21:33

@jay55 I still use everything eventually so I’m not wasteful either but I’m trying to make a point of using lovely luxury things now instead of keeping for a good occasion etc.

Sunshineo · 09/12/2025 07:16

Excited to try today’s eye mask. Very much needed this morning!
