General “Waifs and Strays” Beauty Advent Calendar opening thread.

As in previous years, this a thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads - though happy for those to be shared here too. Also looking forward to hearing about the “Frankenstein” curations.

Carrying on the tradition from previous years, it will also be fun to hear about other calendar openings - Degusta, jam, cheese anyone?

I know there are mixed feelings on this, but many of us would really appreciate it if spoilers are not posted before 7am on the relevant day, though if the consensus is this is too late we could
make it from midnight on the day? Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

Posting pictures of contents is also always much appreciated.

Anyone else with the No7 beauty calendar? I was pleased with the mini Future Renew day cream today as I need a new one with SPF. So many moisturisers with SPF break me out so I can give this a try before buying a full size.

Day 1 for ASOS is a MAC lipstick in Cool Teddy. Really nice colour that I shall enjoy using.

Day 1 on Sylvan Glow is a Dasique Soufflé Colour Pot in Mocha Bun. Very pretty colour for lips and cheeks in a sweet little heart shape.

It is my first foray into Korean beauty/skincare and I’ve bought quite a bit in readiness for my transition in the new year. I have high hopes. 😂

I use quite a lot of the skincare and really rate it, but I’ve weirdly not dabbled into the make up…… yet! If it’s all this cute I’m screwed 😆

So he said if you Google envelope cushion covers pattern / how to make . It will give a good idea , obvs lining and the piping takes more skill . He wanted to do zip fasten, but I wanted the bows on the envelope bit . He said you could maybe put tassles on the corners to make up for lack of piping

@AppleDumplingWithCustard My StyleKorean calendar is being delivered tomorrow, not bad as I only ordered it on 25th November! I've been eagerly tracking its journey from South Korea! I was going to keep it until January, but I know I won't be able to.

I've started using a lot of K Beauty products recently and really rate the brands I've tried so far.

I have 4 advent calendars 🤦🏼‍♀️ don’t quite know how that happened oops!
I haven’t seen anyone mention Manicurist but day 1 was a base coat (makes sense!)

Day 1 of Cult beauty limited ed is Summer Fridays Jet Lag mist. Dont think ive ever had a bad SF product, so have high hopes. It also doesnt blast you in the face like some other mists.

I’m happy overall today
ESPA - body scrub, smells lovely however body scrub is something that often languishes forgotten at the back of the cupboard for me so I will need to make an effort to use it.

Elle - AKT body balm. This will definitely get used.

Boots skincare - Anua milky toner. Very happy with this, I like the brand and like milky toners when my skin is feeling dry or reactive so this will definitely get used too.

Day 1 of the Holland and Barratt BAC.
Its antipodies flora face masque. Full size.
Thats why I like the H&B BAC...lots of full size products :)

Dd has that one, shes very pleased with it, smells lovely

The Vogue finally arrived. Ilia multi stick in ladybird.

Pink Vetiver body lotion in my Jo Loves calendar. I like vetiver so thought I'd enjoy this but I hate the scent! It just smells like cheap aftershave to me.

I also really hate the design of the Jo Loves calendar. It's massive and is really inconvenient. It's currently on the bed but it can't stay there!
