General “Waifs and Strays” Beauty Advent Calendar opening thread.

As in previous years, this a thread for those opening Beauty Advent Calendars not covered by specific calendar opening threads - though happy for those to be shared here too. Also looking forward to hearing about the “Frankenstein” curations.

Carrying on the tradition from previous years, it will also be fun to hear about other calendar openings - Degusta, jam, cheese anyone?

I know there are mixed feelings on this, but many of us would really appreciate it if spoilers are not posted before 7am on the relevant day, though if the consensus is this is too late we could
make it from midnight on the day? Please also avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance.

Posting pictures of contents is also always much appreciated.

I’ll be opening the Selfrdiges and Jo Loves calendars this year. Really looking forward to tomorrow.

I am very grateful for this thread - I had not noticed the Ordinary serum tucked away next to the Pwrricone eye cream in yesterday’s JL calendar!! Even better that it’s on DD’s wish list so straight into her stocking.

i am however very confused today as I got a different item today -no trinny or lipstick. I won’t spoiler until I go home and check that I didn’t get the date wrong and open the wrong drawer 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It's lovely! I'm keeping it on my WFH desk, inner calm is very needed!

I'm absolutely loving this Gruum calendar as PP not luxe but some gorgeous stuff that I wouldn't have tried.

Can anyone with the ASOS calendar confirm if they got TWO Sol de Janeiro bum bum creams in today's box? My daughter was very happy 😃 but I don't know if there were meant to be two or just one.

Yes, it was Brazilian Bum Bum cream and Delicia Drench Body Butter - did she get 2 Bum Bum creams? Maybe I swapped one of mine if it was?!

Yesterday’s Harvey nicks was a mini perfume from a brand called Ex Nihilo, I’ve not smelled it yet as I’ve got a cold so wouldn’t do it justice! I haven’t heard of the brand, I’m not usually too adventurous with scents as I have 2 or 3 signatures but I guess advent calendars are the ideal time to dip my toe in!

Today’s was a Patchology night time sheet mask and (rather amusingly!) a toothpaste!! Never received that before in an AC! Nice vintage style packaging, will pop in my travel bag.

Lovely lip pencil in No7 beauty today. Perfectly matching a lipstick I've just bought so I'm happy with today's offering again!

DD got a beauty blender in Sephora this morning which she needed!

Sylvan Glow today is a Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. It seems you pat it into your face after cleansing and before serum. Also a Dr Ceuracle Spirulina Cooling Mask. Apparently it’s a powder that you mix into a paste and apply to your face. They even give you a little spoon and a spatula. Interesting stuff.

I fancy getting the LF fragrance calendar next year too!

Hi, today’s DIY was Centrella oil and I was quite pleased with the Rituals shampoo. Very pleased with the matcha tea bag and chutney!

Lumene Day 5, another little moisturiser, this time anti-wrinkle and firm night cream.

Hmm, not impressed with Creed free samples in today Cult AC. But i will use them, handy for work. Queen of silk is my favourite out of the 3.

Rituals shampoo today and there was a keratin mask a couple of days ago I need to double check if it's a hair or face mask

@70isaLimitNotaTarget - I hope it was hair - as that is where I used it! My hair felt ok afterwards but nothing special.

They are flavoured cube things you dissolve in water to flavour it.

I have been wanting to try the face primer from Bobby Brown for sometime now; really happy I got it in the OK box. It is the right size for me as I only do a full face of makeup occasionally and most full sized make up items get expired.

HN: Jo Loves candle, I have sooooo many half used candles that I need to get through, but I am too tempted! It smells really good.

That CT Lipstick was in the Cult Beauty edit recently , so maybe you put it in from that ?
