Recommend a tinted moisturiser instead of the discontinued Clarins Super Restorative Cream in honey with SPF 20 (gutted they have stopped doing this. I’ve used it for so many years!!)

Just that really…. What would you recommend as a replacement for a late 40s woman who doesn’t wear much make up but loved this. My last tube is almost finished!!!!!

Try Estée Lauder Daywear

MiddleChildX · 27/11/2025 23:52

I use Bubble tinted moisturiser. Little green tube. It’s pretty cheap by mn standards but I love how easy it goes on and it’s not greasy.

MiddleChildX · 27/11/2025 23:52

I think it’s spf 30

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 28/11/2025 00:26

Clinique CC cream is good

incognitomummy · 28/11/2025 03:39

Thanks guys. Will try those.

No 7 do a tinted moisturiser. I’ve used it for years.

Tryingatleast · 28/11/2025 07:16

Have you tried the clarins bb cream? I always see it recommended on here

Didntask · 28/11/2025 07:17

Origins Tinted Moisturiser with SPF40

piscofrisco · 28/11/2025 08:38

Erborian cc cream. Phenomenal

Erborian cc cream. Phenomenal

Erborian CC. The best.

Lelivre · 28/11/2025 08:46

Have you tried Laura Mercier? Get a sample and see. I’ve just moved over from erborian.

MinnieCauldwell · 28/11/2025 08:50

Sisley Phyto Hydra, when I treat myself as a bit expensive or Chanel Les Beige.
SPF in a tinted moisturiser doesn't work.

CuriousKangaroo · 28/11/2025 08:54

Chantacaille tinted moisturiser is excellent. Expensive but excellent - and a tube lasts for months.

Wolbutter · 28/11/2025 08:56

I only bought it because I was there with DD - but glossier skin tint is now my favourite.

theunbreakablecleopatrajones · 28/11/2025 08:56

I have used Laura Mercier for about 25 years, I have occasionally tried Nars etc, but never found anything to beat it - with it on people go on about my good skin, without it people tend to ask if I'm ill 😁

LadyHexham · 28/11/2025 09:07

I just dilute my regular foundation with a drop of moisturiser.

MillicentFaucet · 28/11/2025 09:10

Which Laura Mercier are pp using? I want to try it but not sure if the matte or dewy is best or if there isn't much difference

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 28/11/2025 09:16

The 4 I tried this year:

  1. Estee Lauder Daywear. Always slightly too dark (and I'm not uber pale) and made my eyes stream all day.
  2. Estee Lauder Futurist Skin tint serum: I love this. It feels more like a foundation than a skin tint, it's a bit thicker. It's lovely. £32 at Boots
  3. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Light Revealer: I love this. Makes me look well, foolproof to apply, dries really nicely. £29 at LF
  4. Hourglass Veil Skintint: This is my favourite at the moment, but I'd say the Laura Mercier and Estee Lauder futurist are on par. £34.30 at most shops at the moment.
NippyNinjaCrab · 28/11/2025 09:25

I second the Clinique CC, the Eborian was also nice when I got a wee sample. I tried the Nars and it was too thick. I am tempted with the LM and was just looking at this last night. As per @MillicentFaucet I don't know which one to try, dewy or matte. I just want somwthing I can use daily without a faff and blending. X

TheOGCCL · 28/11/2025 16:09

I think it depends on which range has a good shade for you but I'd throw in Sculpted by Amie which I've been trying out this year - 20 SPF like your current one and I think a good balance of too thick/too thin.

Elf glow foundation or Dr Jart BB cream . Both are amazing

Lelivre · 29/11/2025 14:19

Laura Mercier - ask for a sample of both. I have the oil-free even though I’m in my 50s. Pigmented with a beautiful flattering finish that doesn’t go in the lines.

drspouse · 29/11/2025 14:23

Is the Laura Mercier any good for sensitive skin? I've lost count of the number of moisturisers I've had to chuck because they irritate my skin.

incognitomummy · 30/11/2025 09:44

ISimplyDontBelieveIT · 28/11/2025 08:45

Erborian CC. The best.

Never heard of it!!! Will look it up. Thanks both.
