I'm not sure....

I walk a lot so looking for nice flat boots which aren't boring.

I prefer these - https://www.theoutnet.com/en-gb/shop/product/roger-vivier/boots/ankle-boots/buckled-patent-leather-ankle-boots/46376663162922001

but i don't think that little heal would be great for lots of walking (the height isn't an issue I can walk miles in 1-2inch block heal but I worry I would wreck these).

I like the print of the first ones but not the shape, too elf like for me.

I don’t like the 2nd ones and wouldn’t think they would be great for walking.

Lemonsugarpancakes · 21/11/2025 16:24

Neither are walking boots. Are you looking for walking comfort, or style or both? These are both occasion wear in my mind - something special when you go out for dinner or an event.

Yes! elf like, I was struggling to find the vocabulary for what I didn't like about them.

Lots of boots veer into elf territory 😆

Howtonamechange · 21/11/2025 16:31

Hmm tbh not a fan of either. First are a weird shape. Prob too flat for walking and the second has a heel which won’t be good for walking

It's for work and walking between meetings (in London so not driving). I hate changing shoes so try to go for something smart and also flat enough to walk in. Currently I have flat over the knee boots, a couple or pairs of ankle boots with 1.5inch block heals which all work well but I thought I'd try and find some flat ankle boots (which also aren't boring).

Do you want a print or colour?

SliceofTosst · 21/11/2025 16:42

Hideous shape and look really uncomfortable with that flat sole.

PersephoneParlormaid · 21/11/2025 16:43

Both of them make my plantar fasciitis ache just by looking at them!

Coconutter24 · 21/11/2025 16:45

Neither are very nice

schoolfriend · 21/11/2025 16:45

These are MUCH better. Thanks 👌

I work in London and do a 20 mins walk. I can’t imagine walking on either - sorry.

Either - just something that's not black or brown ideally. I want something a bit interesting.

It’s quite hard to get a proper flat ankle boot that isn’t super casual looking. I bought a patent pair with buckles from Russell & Bromley a few years ago that I still wear a lot.

ginasevern · 21/11/2025 17:09

I actually really like the first ones, but I am a bit elfin (apparently). Don't like the second ones at all.

PanderBare · 21/11/2025 18:07

No

HelpMySocksAreTouchingMe · 21/11/2025 18:10

I don’t like either sorry and not do they look comfortable.

The leopard ones linked by another poster are much nicer.

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 21/11/2025 18:11

I couldn’t wear either for walking.

I adore both the brands you’re looking at, @schoolfriend, but there’s a reason those two pairs have ended up on The Outnet. They’re both deeply impractical and only of use for propping up a bar somewhere.

Have you looked at:

Hereu Studio

Beautifully made and definitely never boring. Or:

Dear Frances

Or

Legres

To be honest, for everyday wear I prefer something sturdy (but stylish) from

Grenson, though they wouldn’t all work with City smart clothes.

Obviously all the above will have sales over the next couple of months, so should match Outnet reductions.
